  1. Mainly rain here but with the tiniest bit of sleet mixed in. It's horrible outside.
  2. Very foggy here, I can barely see the other side of the street....
  3. It's gone very dark with an impressive black cloud overhead. Sadly I think the worst of it is going to pass me by to the north
  4. It's just gone very dark here with gusty wind and heavy rain, and I think I may have just heard a rumble of thunder...
  5. Saw multiple lightning flashes whilst driving round the M25 about an hour ago. The conditions were horrendous, couldn't see a thing because of the spray.
  6. Well, I can confirm snow in Kent... driving over Ide Hill about an hour ago, I got to see approximately 30 seconds of proper large snow flakes, before it turned back to rain! I think that 30 seconds will probably be the last snow I see until next winter
  7. Currently on a train from central London out to Kent - most places have had a dusting up to a centimetre or two.
  8. Just been for a five mile walk around the village and surrounding area. A couple of pics below. It's 1.1degC here but no noticable snow melt. http://www.flickr.com/photos/afcone
  9. Final total was 13-14cm in Meopham. It's -0.7degC outside so hopefully we won't see a thaw today.
  10. http://www.tomtom.com/livetraffic/ TomTom are showing over 2,500 miles of traffic problems in the South East alone. Basically not a single major road is unaffected by this snowfall.
  11. Approximately 11cm here in Meopham. The flakes have definitely got larger in the past hour.
  12. I'm trying to do my usual lurking and keep getting this: I'm taking this to be a good sign!
  13. The BBC forecast was positive for snow tonight ('Kent and Sussex possibly causing disruption in the morning rush hour').
  14. Very light snow and some sleet on the way home from the station. Hopefully a light starter before the main course later this week
  15. I don't know if this is the right thread to post this, but the Guardian (http://www.guardian.co.uk/technology/2011/nov/28/secret-whitehall-statistics-published-data) claims the Met Office will be making all its Public Weather Service data free to use from this week. Will Netweather be using this data?
