  1. Had about 6 decent rumbles of thunder here in Wrexham. Not seen any lightning. Feeling very muggy!
  2. Dry here now but still clammy and clouds really ominous looking. Not thundered for a bit now. Was a decent bit of thunder - did you get any lightning?
  3. We had a massive deluge of rain just before the thunder started and it was stopping and starting like someone was turning a tap on and off lol
  4. Lots of thunder rumbling for the past 45 mins in the Wrexham area. Not seen any lightning yet. So humid it’s unbearable.
  5. Cheers. Yeah I thought it added to it having the train pulling out. Took a 10 min video as well but the screen shots won’t upload as good big file sizes. Btw for those in Aylesbury - was the thunder loud? Cos I couldn’t hear anything where I am. Just the lightning.
  6. It looks it!! The lightning was amazing watching from Chiswick Park tube station!
  7. I’m on the tube just heading to Chiswick Park now to get the car. Awesome lightning seen coming into Hammersmith. Need to get off the train and see this!!! Lol
  8. Woweee just been sitting at the side of the London Eye watching the distant storm. Is it towards Aylesbury way? Not sure. Lightning is constant. Fabulous. What a treat I’m having this weekend!
  9. Am I right and this is an anvil? Anything going to come from it?
  10. What’s everyone’s thinking of this? I’m feeling hopeful again. They are building so fast right in front of my eyes but I don’t think the cap wants to be broken atm!!
  11. I don’t think those storms quite managed to reach Wrexham but I think they’ve had a couple of strikes today nearby. Nothing like what I witnessed last night lol
  12. Thanks. It sure did work out for me. I’m absolutely buzzing and knackered lol
  13. Well what a night for me!!!! Lol. So glad I made that trip down from Wrexham to see that storm. It was absolutely AWESOME! My hubby loved it too. I went out at the beginning of the storm and was running up and down the southern perimeter of Heathrow filming it then the rain came. So I dashed under the cover of the hotels underground parking and filmed it from there. Amazing. Watching 3 storms to the left, right and centre banging out constant lightning and constant rumbles of thunder. My little boy missed the first hour but when I went back to the room he woke up and was terrified. So I took him to the window and BOOM a massive fork across the sky and he shouted “WOWWWWW mummy that was AWESOME!!” So off outside we all went again and spent another hour watching it. He is now not afraid of storms and wanting more today Hahahaha. Just fabulous (not that you can tell ;-)) Haven’t watched the video properly yet. This is the only still I have that will let me post on here due to file size.
  14. @tomjwlx Dear god almighty. Wasn’t it just. The most amazing lightning show I’ve seen in years and it’s still going. Unreal!
  15. @Flash bang flash bang etc We have the car with us but my husband isn’t really into storm spotting like I am (and I can’t drive!) so just hoping something happens here. The views I have attached are from my room in the hotel. Fabulous
  16. Fingers crossed then and I was expecting if anything was to happen would be from 7-8pm onwards. Would be great to get w good nighttime electrical storm! Got plenty to keep me entertained though - got the planes to watch, champions league final and hopefully some storms to boot. My hubby and little boy are with me and my little boy is a little apprehensive over the storms. Think we will have some tears! And from me if this doesn’t work out lol
