Wish it would perk up a bit!! Looks like you might be under it soon... -

Not sure if you can call it a streamer but we’re under that thin line of light snow snow just west of London which is now starting to lightly cover the rooftops and cars. Not great but best it’s been all day! -

If only it could be a bit more evenly spread! We did do pretty well a couple of weeks ago where the east missed out so I guess it’s only fair but still...huff! -

Has been very disappointing hasn’t it? There’s a dusting on the cars here now and it looked like a heavier band was coming through but it seems to have fizzled out now -

Only very light and looks a bit like graupel mixed in but it’s finally starting to settle a little bit in Surbiton. Just the slightest dusting on rooftops and cars but it’s a start! -

Several hours of light snow with occasional brief moderate bursts here in Surbiton but not even a hint of it trying to settle. Hoping the more supportive air for settling reaches here soon, all a bit frustrating so far -

Absolutely no idea what to expect overnight and early Sunday here in far south west London. As always, right on the edge of the main areas so could go either way. A long night ahead I think! -

Nice to have a sunny and frosty morning for a change here in Surbiton, been few and far between this winter. Not too hopeful for snow here this weekend but at least hope lives on for February at least... -

Could be straight back to bed though if it’s rain! We had a splattering on the cars and bins last week which is about as good as it’s got so far! -

Not sure what to expect here in fairly low lying Surbiton which always seems to miss out, but after the dross so far this winter will be happy with a dusting! Alarm set for 6am just in case! -
Torrential rain for the last 20 minutes here in Clapham. Seems to have bubbled up right overhead. Only a couple of rumbles of thunder
-
Thunder and lightning here in Clapham...several minutes between each flash though....
-
So are we going to be stuck with this sea mist every afternoon of this warm spell on the south coast?? Beautiful late afternoon in London but miserable the other side of the Downs. Sooooo frustrating
-
Just got home from work in central London...dry as a bone up there but as soon as you get outside the M25 there's a covering, with a good few cms here. Most interesting aspect is the wind...blowing the snow in gusts making it feel really Arctic outside.
-
So we get a few flurries from relatively thin cloud with the sun almost out...now it's thick cloud and turning very gloomy and not a flake to be seen!

A few flakes blowing in the wind earlier, blink and you would have missed it. South Downs really sheltering us from anything more substantial along the coast.

South East and East Anglia Regional Discussion 8th February 2013>

So how much more of an upgrade do we need to see snow on the Sussex coast? Looking increasingly like one of those highly frustrating events where most of the region sees snow except south of the South Downs like February 07. -
Well I was not expecting this. An hour ago it was mostly rain and since then it's gone from the odd flake of wet snow to sleet and now it's snowing. Big flakes at times too!
-
Bye bye snow....hello cold rain. Yuk. Snow rapidly thawing now...
-
Pretty much at the western edge of the steady stuff here, only light but already re-covering where some of Friday's snow had melted.
-
Lucky this has cleared through as it just started to rain!!
-
Really coming down now in Shoreham for the last 30 minutes or so, gusty winds blowing it off roofs etc. 5cms on the patio table!
-
2cms here in Shoreham. Mostly light snow but in the last 5 minutes it's got darker and a bit heavier, nice big flakes too.
