Absolutely pouring down, would have been heavy snow, makes it all the worse
-
Wrong side of marginal as always for most of us. Hugely disappointing, even if it didn’t stick around long it would have been better than nothing

Looks absolutely non event here as expected, genuinely the worst winter I can remember for a long time and that’s saying something. Saw 1 day of a cm or 2 of snow right at the start of December and that’s been it. Atrocious

Pretty much the only area in England with gusts only in the 40s. Sums it up lol

This storm hasn’t amounted to much here has it? Seems like we get no interesting weather

No surprise to see nothing come of those showers heading into Shropshire area, sigh
going to be well into February now with this upcoming mild weather, and we’ve seen one brief dusting of snow in that brief cold snap at the start of december
truly abysmal really

It's been 6-8c below average minimum temps for days though. Basically the winter equivalent of 30c+ in summer.
Snow =/= cold. It's a legitimate cold spell, just not a snowy one unfortunately. A bit like having a heatwave in summer that's cloudy!
Yeah I’m just throwing my toys out the pram in fairness, as we’ve not had 1 significant frost or 1 flake of snow. I’m sure those in parts of the NW and northern Scotland don’t think it’s been a joke

I would much rather wind and rain to cold cloudy nothingness, especially when there's a wall of snow 20 miles south of here going nowhere.
Absolutely, this ‘cold spell’ has been a complete joke

Looks like the wind has turned a little more westerly meaning that the precipitation will miss us. Just as it looks like it’s holding together.Typical.
Great for those north and east of here though!
We are consistently in one of the worst places in the country for snow imo. Considering the advantage of the relatively high ground around here too

A truly dismal outlook. What’s new with British ‘winters’
-
Pathetic isn’t it, to think I spent over 2 weeks following the model thread
northern Scotland must love these setups, absolute rash of heavy snow showers up there
-
Without a doubt one of the biggest busts in NW model viewing history

It certainly was. Did you get hail too? I’m a stones throw away from you in Penn and for a moment I thought my roof was coming in with the hail.
No mate don’t think we had hail here, just those huge torrential rain drops. Thunder was almost constant. Good little storm for sure
