Take a look at the Storm drain at Bowshaw i went and had a look today it's getting close to overflowing if we get anymore serious amounts of rainfall Dronfield bottom could be in a spot of bother.

The weather has been the same in Dronfield and the storm drain at bowshaw is like a resevoir now and is in danger of overflowing if this rain keeps up i have been and had a look this evening and if we see anymore big storms Dronfield bottom could be in danger of flooding.

I Wen't past owler bar at around dinner time it was 4.5c at the moorlands pub area it was only raining though but i would hazard a guess at the highest parts say the snake pass and kinder scout might have seen some wintryness

Costs of motoring dropped are you having a laugh 96p a litre for petrol thousands of pounds in Insurance now road tolls they are taking the Swearing AGAIN and our country is going to get even worse. Buisnesses will be hit badly like hauliers will be forced to up there prices and many other buisnesses Not to mention the poorly paid people If gordon Brown is for the people as he says he is he will stop this as it is the most ridiculous idea i have ever heard. Used to yes it is Diabolical now and It's all down To the bus company FIRST over charging people if you look on the sheffield forum the general feeling towards first is very Negative at best.

To put it mildly if i was on that ship i would be literally sh*tting myself that ship looked like it was going to turn upside down at one point i can't imagine what the people felt like onboard but i bet it was along the lines of sheer terror.

The worst winter if you can call it that ever

My family didn't think it would be that bad as in killamarsh teh snow didn't start to settle till around 4.30 when the tempreture started dropping and i warned everyone it would happen and the roads would become impassable luckily they took my advice and set off just in time. Most roads around Dronfield upwards are impassable according to my dad now and many other people have reported on the sheffield forum that buses have stopped running or running limited service as they can't get to certain areas. Even here in killamarsh we have a good 3 to 5 inches i would hazard a guess at and tghe roads here are getting impassable i would dread to think what it's like at owler bar up to fox house i bet there is over a foot up there inlcluding yesterdays snow.

try been hit in this face at full force with an ice laden snowball with a stone on it and believe you me it damn sure hurts.

My mum and dad drove from my house in killamarsh to Dronfield and was nearly stranded at the top of marsh lane that was an hour and half ago and the snow is still really heavy so i think unless the gritters have been out i think the road would be impassable by now.

Snow beats any other weather hands down in my book what would you rather wake up to heavy snow and a lovely picturesque scene or a miserable cold day with heavy rain etc like i have said its snow for me all the way

same here Down in Dronfield its started settling on the roads now and has got a fair bit heavier compared to earlier.

We usually do but for some reason this winter has been the worst since i was born 20 years ago i have never seen such a bad winter we have had a few centimeters all winter. I am more used to 10cm+ falls not 1cm+ like london its shocking

Stu is it big flakes because i came over from Killamarsh to Dronfield his morning it was heavy for a few hours till between 7 and 10 but since then its been light just wondering whether i might have some heavy snow to look forward to it was snowing lightly when i last checked 30 mins ago heres hoping .

It's crap here in Dronfield aswell its very light and only giving a dusting so much for the heavy snow

What the hell is going on its stopping here in sheffield can someone please tell me whether there will be any more heavy snow.

Why is that its been snowing here in sheffield south yorkshire moderate to heavy for the past 1 1\2 hours and still coming down thick and fast cc_confused:

There was nothing at fox house earlier today but im not suprised there is 3-5cm now. its turned back to sleet here now after giving us a very slushy cover of snow on the grass cars and paths and roads.
