    If that's the case, surely that would mean we have now reached the stage of CC where cold winters are virtually impossible in this country?!

    In Absence of True Seasons It managed to appear while I was on my walk earlier this afternoon after heavy rain and felt rather warm. However, it soon vanished behind the clouds again, but at least it's not raining now!

    That's very interesting SqueakheartLW! I did think that WQBO looked a little odd when Gavin Partridge did his Sunday roundup last week, however, it did not occur to me at the time that it might be failing! Could it fail like two EQBO's have done since 2016? Anything's possible these days with the Earth's climate being seemingly so out of kilter!

    WYorksWeather definitely not an outlier, albeit at the colder end. Needs watching is the only thing to be said really.

    Late March and early April 2008 were indeed cold and wintry with a white Easter for some. Also, think early April 1989 which was also cold and wintry, following an exceptionally mild winter. I'm not saying something similar is necessarily likely this year, but with the current SSW, it is definitely something to watch!

    I remember Atlantic 252 I certainly understand where you're coming from but there's always hope 'next year might be different!' even though it seldom happens!

    Needless to say, scorching sun for me. Sun itself is fine but 'scorching' is too much. However, moving forward I'm gonna have to get used to it and wave goodbye to snow!!
