    Well, another absolute stinker to join many recent winters and well up there with the likes of 2019/20 and 2021/2022! More will think twice about getting excited about the prospects for 2024/2025?! I have a feeling that a mild start to any month will grow as a possibility!

    Very risky going against the possibilities of ridiculously mild, warm or hot (depending on the season) these days!

    'Normal' months are pretty hard to achieve now, let alone cold months as any mild spells are so fierce, they can easily cancel out even fairly sustained cold periods!

    CharlieBear9 Indeed, you would have thought 2023 was a cool year going by many comments. In reality it was the joint warmest on record!

    We had a hot summer in 2022, just 4 years after 2018! Just goes to show how CC has changed our expectations for summer!

    This ties in with the current Met Office forecast. Too late? Possibly, but I would take a repeat of 8th-10th March 2023 in an instant!!

    Met4Cast in view as to how winter has played out, that would be my expectation!
