  2. Sat night into Sunday looks great for North East N. Ireland. Could see a good covering of snow. It is still snowing away although very light. Showers coming in off Irish sea.
  3. Had a few snow showers here down near Larne Co. Antrim earlier at lower levels. Good covering already up Shanes hill near Ballymena.
  4. Thanks for reply - yea phoned earlier, she said everythin shut down. Said the rain bands already hitting but wind not bad. Said had a cracker tstorm before it though. For some reason since they stuck in house she always invites friends over for a party through a typhoon as not much else to do.
  5. Is this on track to hit Taipei? Will have to let wee sis know although she be happy, probably get a day off teaching as schools will be shut.
  6. I saw no lightning today - seemed to be confined to the greater Belfast and County Down regions the real electric stuff. Some good cracks of thunder though. At the minute it is raining heavy I think that heavy stuff on radar is goin sink south east maybe clearing by 10pm. Some major flooding around though could cause traffic problems.
  7. Me bro phoned from Glengormly said they had a nice storm with lightnin and torrential rain. Have been hearin constant thunder to my south for half hour now. Sky is black. Must be one big storm.
  8. Startin to get goin again to my west
  9. Took video of storm that passed over about 7 last night. It had major rotation tho hard to pick up on video http://tinypic.com/player.php?v=2eztfsj&s=5
  10. bout half hour ago - earlier than expected - Lookin forward to this afternoon
  11. Thunder constant for last half hour on east coast - No lightning as yet.
  12. Here is my video of hail - http://tinypic.com/r/2hmg7rr/5
  13. Have longer video than this but this was rotating like mad! http://tinypic.com/r/2yuyasl/5 http://tinypic.com/r/2lc1irm/5
  14. Amazing day - Had great t/storms through day with hail/ thunder/lightning then to end day off at around 7pm another major storm with rotation occured which I have never witnessed before - thought a funnel cloud was goin drop! Took few videos and pics! Get video on later!
  15. Haven't experienced thunderstorm like that in years. Constant thunder and lightning for 2hours with hail and torrential rain. Just clearing up now. My girlfriend nearly got hit on the head from a falling windchime when we sittin out in summerhouse with a crack of thunder that shook the place . Took video of hail try n get it on later.
  16. Well that storm is just passin, had some sheet lightning in it - headin out over Irish sea towards Scotland - still hear the thunder in the distance.
  17. Kickin off here now - Few big cracks of thunder, lookin up you can see how slow moving it is. Very dark to my west
  18. I caught that downpour as well. Think the heavy showers will be slow moving so probably be some flooding around.
  19. Well I hope your right cause I have to go to a christening in Bangor tomorrow at 12pm lol  I don't have a choice in stayin in east antrim
  20. I can't see what anyone is complainin about. Okay sea level snow not lying but about 10mins away you can get all the snow you want and been like that for last week. As for tommorow snow - Top-up for mountains an 1inch or 2 as for sea level areas no chance of settling! The snow will fall but melt straight away. Been great though this cold snap.
  21. Glad you seen some in the end Snowplough
  22. The coastal regions had no chance of any snow as the precip was to light to lower levels. 100m up and 5minutes drive is another story though Winter paradise. Same as most places. Was up in Antrim today and about 1/2 mile from Larne up the A8 towards Ballynure the snow was piled up Antrim was clear though. Lookin forward to Sunday hope it delivers.
  23. Yea, Sat night into Sunday could be memorable or one damp squib! I think for once we might get lucky! Must go good luck guys on your snow tonight!
  24. Mac I think if we get 1cm we would be happy lol. Gotta admit for once we have done the worse out of all the UK and Ireland for snow this year so 1cm would keep us happy 3AM onwards snow -- I would stay up for it.
  25. Something major could be on the cards in the next few hours for the Southern Contingent. The Major precip from the Southern trough is moving more North and North Westerly than expected. With the Northern trough coming down and meetin it Dublin and eastern areas in general could be in for a suprise right up to County Down in N Ireland. Game on I say
