  1. I also think parts of east Ireland should be aware what can happen in these easterly's A streamer formed off the Irish sea last year from nothing and gave Belfast a foot of snow. The met office didnt get warnings out till 2 hours after the event. http://news.sky.com/skynews/Home/Sky-News-.../20080641299278 The Beauty of an easterly. You could get a suprise
  2. Snowing here in last 15 mins on east coast at sea level and sticking! Big flakes 2
  3. Frozen all day here out of the sun - Freezing again bigtime - Great weather Can't remember last time had proper cold weather in December! My mum beside Christmas lights out front
  4. Yea, probably scared to get caught out again. She is probably using out of date charts as well. Why did they not show the main BBC weather tonight after the news in NI showed some stupid cartoon thing for 5mins instead. You would think with the gales tonight and risk of snow from tomorrow night it would be a good idea to keep the public informed.
  5. On the latest radar I think one of those squall lines has formed from Southern Ireland up to N Irish sea with Lightning showing ahead of it on NW radar.. Think it might make it across to NW England or Wales?
  6. Went up into a popular campin resort today at Glenariff on the east coast and found out some certain fly species have died a month early than usual Not just midges like http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/scotland/highla...nds/6921173.stm but really flies that usually live until the end of August. Like the black fly. Real weird. As for the the weather light rain and not a breeze.
  7. Yes, it seems many places are being hit with flooding around the UK. Pretty nasty http://news.sky.com/skynews/article/0,,301...3593331,00.html
  8. Hail showers here also and feeling very cold. Can't believe it after all that warmth
  9. Clear and sunny. Temp around 14c. Just stuck the barbeque on
  10. Never have seen a red triangle symbol like that either.. Least RTE doesnt call them mini-tornado's. Cheers for the link rc28 nice wee bit of video as well
  11. See Martin North put it at T2 tornado over in Ukweatherworld. Also I can see how you missed the heavy stuff Intrepid as they have good radar shots as well. Seems like the heavy squall line passed just North of Belfast possibly right up to Ballycastle. http://www.ukweatherworld.co.uk/forum/foru...21&posts=28
  12. Exact same here. Rain was torrential. First time my sky tv has been knocked out as well Very ferocious indeed. Caught the local weather at lunchtime and she showed on the radar how it intensified as it hit the east coast.
