  1. At the moment I just can't see temps dropping enough for places like my location... although you can see on xcweather that temps are starting to fall in western/north western Ireland after the cold front has passed. Looks like they're currently around 4-5c there. 10.4c here now, lots of rain, will be glad if it clears.
  2. Well if you look at the Brecon Beacons forecast from the MetO they say: Thunderstorms Medium Some heavier snow showers may turn thundery.
  3. We'll have to wait for his answer.. But... perhaps he meant: ____________________________________ Oh and just in case anyone is interested then here is the MetO chief forecaster talking about this weeks weather - _
  4. Not bad. The high res NMM hasn't got that far out yet but here is the 06z for Tuesday. I hope Net Wx don't mind me posting: (Note precipitation falling as sleet and snow on the very western Irish coast... Hope those cold uppers push as far over to us)
  5. Managed to get a low of -1.4c here at 0713. Second air frost of the winter, first being on the 02/12 which was -0.3c
  6. Couple of showers starting to pep up as they come in land to mid Wales... Could be quite icy there if the skies clear. Mainly sleet being shown as precipitous type in north and mid Wales. Does anyone on here live up north? What's the situation like?
  7. Maybe someone from Wales is interested? I don't see any harm in posting it...
  8. It's probably possible but I guess not many websites use the data because it may cost more to have it per 6 hours? But hey, I don't know. Just guessing. Regards
  9. Thanks for posting... At least in the USA there's a lot of large wide streets/roads so they have more of a chance of correcting their vehicle if it went of of control... and mostly flat as well. Good luck to the people of New Mexico in the new week, looks like that low should give them a lot of snow.
  10. Hey can anyone help... The ECM model on NW and Meteociel shows charts for every 24 hour period. Is there a way/place to view the model per 3 hours like the GFS? or anything less than 24 hours? Thanks
  11. Indeed, temp has started to drop away very quickly here now.
  12. Just going to throw this in, I hope Net Wx don't mind... Thur night going in to Fri - just showing some ppn turning more wintry in N Wales
  13. Looking at the 00z gfs for my location on Friday then the 500-1000 hPa and 850-1000 hPa charts look pretty crap. Met Office going for hill snow... "wintry from Wales northwards"... So similar to the last couple of days then...
  14. Max 6.3c here earlier... Temp falling away again, now at 4.6c I'm hoping for a nice calm night with a ground frost but we'll see...
  15. I take it nobody has had any weather worth mentioning then? Judging by how dead this thread is
  16. 3.9c here in south Carms. Clear skies last time I checked. Chilly start tomorrow
  17. There is a case study on the MO website about it here: http://www.metoffice.gov.uk/education/teens/casestudy_bodmin.html Somebody may find you the charts you want.
  18. Anybody know of any cams in those snowy states in the USA?
