well we have another storm hear today, but this one is a little to our east but moving very slowly, and looks to be building and has become more active with a lot of in cloud over the last 15 minuets. the other difference to yesterdays is its only light rain, but has been at it for the last 20 mins. looks to be on a NNE track as originally saw this on the way through Chelmsford an hour or more ago.

Pressure = 1005mb Temp = 21c Wind = W 14mph Weather = very hazy & muggy to start but has freshened up this afternoon, now well defined cumulus on clear sky

Pressure = 1014mb Temp = 14c Wind = NE 4mph Weather = Bright with a light haze

Pressure = 1019mb Temp = 19c Wind = ENE 15mph Weather = clear & sunny, has been overcast unitll around 2:30pm

Pressure = 1018mb Wind = ESE 3mph Temp = 17c Weather = Fog to start then low cloud, very little cloud for most of the day and now very thin high stratus.

Pressure = 1004mb Temp = 16c Wind = SE 12mph Weather = clear after some large Cu building earlier in the day, but only light rain at about 10.30am now just some high Alto stratus or cirrus.

Pressure = 1000mb Temp = 14c Wind = SSW 14mph Weather = Drizzle, Rain and more Rain with the occasional clear spell more recently.

Pressure = 1010mb Temp = 9c Brrrrr cold Wind = W 7mph but about 30+ in gust fronts Weather = clear sunny patches in-between some very well developed cells, Had Hail and heavy rain but no thunder

Morning Pressure = 1006mb Wind = N 8mph Temp = 10C Weather = Clear morning with just a small amount of low very thin cloud, but still allowing the sun to shine through.

Morning Pressure = 1019mb Temp = 11c Wind = NW 5mph Weather = Small amount of mid level Stratus, clearing from north look like its going to be a lovely day

Pressure = 1016mb Temp = 16c Wind = ESE-SSE 8mph Weather = Started of Clear with Cu Forming with really strong thermals lovely cauliflower tops and dark bases, then at around 12:30pm High Cirrus and Altostratus came in on a warm front killed all the lift, Stalled and dispersed now clear with small raged edge cumulus cloud streets.

Evening all. having watched this for a little while and the GFS has been slowly moving it forward since, so it wouldn't surprise me if it turned up Friday morning. Think if its as strong as forecast Most of the UK as far down as Bristol are going to get a hammering, but as the low is proged to move NE the only area to escape will be the SE. think winds could get as high as 75mph+ in the west if the isobars are right, and there looks to be a healthy number of cold & occluded fronts so plenty of rain too. Interestingly the MetO have the centre of the low a little further north than the GFS but both have the centre as 970mb so definitely something to watch. Rob

Pressure = 996mb Temp = 13c Wind = SSE 8mph Weather = has gone from 2 hrs of Drizzel 2hrs of heavy rain to clear skys with just a little high cloud????

Pressure = 1002mb Dropping Temp = 12c Wind = ESE 10mph & Increasing Weather = Grey & overcast, with occasional darker rain bearing clouds.

Evening all trolling through the charts tonight and saw this system, don't know how well the GFS is dealing with the current set-up but its anything like the low that is showing, it could be quite a rough ride next weekend. but suspect that it will be no were near as deep if it does transpire.

Cheers WM doesn't look good for this weekend as we are out in a RIB so 7ft waves wont be much fun.

Hi All Going diving at littlehampton on the south coast this weekend and wondered were is the best web site for in-shore forecast, as the synoptic charts look to show quite tight isobars in the channel? and more wind and rain early next week.
