  2. Yeah of course... it updates dynamically... I have added options to let you choose what YEAR to start from and What DAY to start from Screenshot: click here to visit the ice and snow checker! (remember... you will have to zoom out depending on how many years back you go so that it fits on the screen in a nice row!)

  4. You'll like this one guys.... I have made a Javascript that displays the past 5 years snow cover from Autumn onwards in a grid side by side: http://www.kitchenappliancesforum.co.uk/Script.html You will need to zoom out until you can see FIVE maps side by side otherwise it wont make much sense.
  5. A better way to do it would be to choose select -> colour range to do the white pixel count.

  9. lol balls. A quick calculation on the ice cover compared to last year shows about 2% more ice cover for this year.

  12. It may not... 2005 saw must more snow cover for the same time this year and that wasn't a particularly snowy winter for the uk
  13. Snow cover in northern hemisphere is up 47% on same time last year.
  14. I'm not entirely sure the National Ice Centers website is working correctly at the moment tbh Yesterday data looks remarkably similar to the day before its, and even now when you click on "Latest" link for europe you get the 26th september come up!
  15. I Agree. It will be very interesting to see what the state of play is in a months time.
  16. A count of the white pixels has revealed there is a 41.3% increase in the amount of snow in the northern hemisphere compared to the same time last year.
  17. Based on last years images I am expecting the Arctic Ice to be firmly up against the north of Russia by the 12th October
  18. Today sees continued growth in Russia and a nice big splodge just north of the Hudson strait
