  1. Depends what you mean by pattern... GFS last night wasnt correct at 0z in terms of where it should snow! But I think the pattern is pretty much locked at around T90... T144 is only usefull for looking at very vague trends I think
  2. The LP is further south over Iceland at T69 and heights are stronger over Greenland ... looking good
  3. Thursdays looking quite promising at the moment on the GFS.... that will soon change nearer the time though... but for better or worse?
  4. Not sure where you are looking :-S I just checked it and its showing heavy snow all saturday night -> sunday morning
  5. Latest will it snow for Bromley! 80% chance snow on tuesday? Where on earth is it getting THAT from!
  6. Very concerning!.... there's a real risk here of any snow turning quickly to slush by the time we wake up sunday morning!
  7. More so Compare with old data here: http://www.snowicecheck.co.uk/
  8. Where did you get this update from please? EDIT: Found it: http://satepsanone.nesdis.noaa.gov/northern_hemisphere_multisensor.html
  9. Good morning everyone! Last year some of you may remember I made a web application to display historical images from the Naval Ice Center (the same source as the images you've been seeing in this thread) I have updated the app here What the app enables you to do is enter in a year to start from and a start and end day and it will fetch the images from http://www.natice.noaa.gov/ and display them in rows and tables... It makes it very easy to compare previous years. Once again you can check it out here: http://www.snowicecheck.co.uk/ Regards, Matt (PS - cyclonic happiness - you might want to edit your original post for this thread (if possible) and add a link to the checker so people are aware of it?)
  10. Link to the images...updates come out at about 10:30pm http://www.natice.noaa.gov/ims/
  11. they can do that now, they just have to go the long way round!
  12. You must be looking at a different map to the one i'm looking at.... there's definately more ice last year than this.

  16. Maybe I'll remind you all about this script I made to compare previous years... http://www.kitchenappliancesforum.co.uk/Script.html Its quite usefull to see the previous years dates side by side.
