  1. The sleeper train to Inverness will be through soon. Bet that driver's having a tricky shift!
  2. Been under it for a while. Not a lot reaching the ground really. Worth keeping an eye on though...it has been slowly increasing in intensity. Only producing the goods at it's northern end in Cheshire so far.
  3. Few big drops of rain now reaching the ground here. Wondering if it's trying to pep up a bit. Still quite windy.
  4. I joined this forum in 2007. Back then, I remember year after year reading about how Shropshire, Merseyside and the northwest was useless for any kind of interesting weather while the southeast took the lions share. The southeast and East Anglia will have it's day again...maybe even this week!
  5. That cell near Redditch is getting going now. Let's see with this one then.
  6. I know! In disbelief here too! And my wife keeps getting messages on her phone making it flash...which keeps catching the corner of my eye and making me look outside!
  7. Raining here now. But it's like someone turned it off with a switch.
  8. Did the storm just die? Still incredibly dark to my south.
  9. I think it could be weakening. Thunder has got a lot louder here though. We shall see!
  10. Lightning detector has slowed down on the left hand cell...but I can still hear plenty of thunder.
  11. I reckon you're going right in! I'll still get a good show though!
  12. Definitely. My current thinking is Birmingham, Walsall, Rugeley and Stafford are going to cop it. But you're right, could affact a larger area.
  13. Similar here. I reckon it might just clip you as well.
  14. Looks like it's going to slide just to my east, but I have an excellent view of that direction.
  15. Looks like precipitation is building east back towards the north west Midlands now. If you draw a line from what's left of the Cambridge storm to the Shropshire/Wales storms...that where there could be furter development as it continues north. Already showing signs of 'filling' the gap...if that makes sense? I'm guessing a bit to be honest!
  16. That Snowdonia storm is getting very little attention on here. It looks incredibly active. You watch it go to the Isle of Man and give them their third big thunderstorm of the season!
  17. Blue skies seeping back in from the southeast as the darker developing cloud moves towards the northwest. Obviously right on the fringe of any development here. I think places northwest of here could be in for more corkers looking at the way the clouds just keep building overhead and then moving off northwest.
  18. Hmmm...the sky suddenly seems to be getting darker overhead here.
  19. That Cambridge one does seem to be on it's own somewhat. Proof that any of us on here could get something this week. The sky to my west has brightened up a bit now, it had been quite dark that way, so it must be moving slowly north. So difficult to see what's going on up there!
  20. There is one trying to develop right on top of us....but not having much success at the moment, but the way these things are suddenly exploding, who knows? Plenty suddenly going on around here now.
  21. Really pleasant breeze here though. Looking like we have a half decent chance of storms today. My only worry is that we may end up a bit too far south. But it's one of situations where it's not game over until the last storm has fizzled away. Although, far from stormy looking right now!
  22. Bits of pieces north of Wolverhampton developing. Going by what's happening, and looking at the forecasts/warnings, wondering if we're going to be acting as the spawning ground again? More good news for the northwest if so.
