  1. It's here, it's just that the western side of these disturbances keep getting milder air wrapped up in them.
  2. Should dry up for the rest of the day now. Next snow chance tonight but could have the same issues as the colder air isn't due until tomorrow. We are getting plenty of snow right now so shouldn't complain but these little warm ups here while the east Mids stays as snow is getting frustrating!
  3. Raining here too. We just can't manage it can we.
  4. That was great. However, the true test now is if this snow cover can last until morning. It should but we've lost a few overnight this winter. This is the thickest snow cover yet though.
  5. Slowing down here too and getting a little sleety looking with it, but shouldn't do any damage. Best snowfall since March 2013. Hopefully, we can keep our cover until morning. It was very icy before the snow arrived so maybe we can get back to those conditions.
  6. Stop it! We're not losing this one! Hold on in there!
  7. Still coming down heavily here. Easily the best snowfall of the winter so far...passes the 13th January one. Better get to bed before those further north start reporting sleet and rain!
  8. It would be a novelty for this winter if we can achieve that.
  9. Come on! Can we actually keep this one as snow right through to the end? You can do it!
  10. Very heavy snow here now. Phew! Thought it was going wrong there for a moment!
  11. Well it is snowing now...and despite the shift, we may actually still get something decent. There also seems to be streamers developing behind it.
  12. Look how to precipitation starts to bend and actually deform itself away from us!
  13. Not over yet. Still more out there.
  14. It's going south. We're going to miss it!
  15. Few little flakes starting to drift around.
  16. Look behind the split, there's a nice little consolation prize developed there anyway.
  17. Little too close for comfort to that gap but I think we'll be OK here in Dudley. Prime areas for the heaviest and most prolonged bit of precipitation I would say are Wombourne, Stourbridge and Kidderminster.
  18. Hang on! It's not here yet! Keep watching...
  19. Big band getting closer now....but are we going to have the same old problem again with it turning to rain?
  20. It's still snowing really well...far more and for far longer than the radar suggests. ...something is afoot.
  21. Looking at the radar, there was one tiny blob heading down the A41 towards us, but it was an intense little blob.
  22. Well it's still coming down very nicely. This is really odd.
  23. Wow. Heavy snow just started just like that. Literally like someone switching a switch! Settling within seconds!
  24. Don't think the snowfall itself will be as heavy as last night. Could be scuppered by slightly warmer air yet again. Notice that dew points are just above freezing in Northern Ireland and the very south western tip of Scotland. So an early dusting that might be gone by dawn...again.
