Evening All ! A lot of uncertainity in the next few days regarding tropical storm ophillla . There is a big degree of uncertainty of the east/west movement of this Ireland perhaps having the most powerful influence of this but a little shift eastwards then Wales and the far West of the uk will feel the storm. After that once the muddy waters clear . the clear cold air takes hold of the the uk it Will feel like Autumn.....

Hi it will happen sooner or later let's just get this tropical storm out of the way first

Hi, To be honest I don't see any record breaking temps from the gfs Perhaps Next Monday with the highest temps , this just goes to show how complicated this set up is ...Just watch this space..

Evening All ! Im still excited about our forthcoming weather ,not just some high temps for this time of year but also a tropical storm to really complicate things. I Think we need a couple of more days at least to sort out the synoptics but this tropical storm needs to be watched as both ecm and gfs bring it in striking distance of the uk at T+144. There will be lots of changes during the next few days but perhaps this is the "Calm Before The Storm"!

And the T+240 at the ten day range from both gfs and ecm show us some cold weather....

Hello All! The Gfs and Ecm output is nothing more than the "WOW" Factor , with heat ,storms and cold. Lots to iron out , but after the short burst of heat , a wind storm, then turning cold , who could make this up !

Evening ! There is a weather term called in Meteoroligy called Shannon Entropy . The Low Shannon entropy means the forecast in the ten day period is more certain . the High Shannon Entropy" which we are in now" means the outlook in the next ten day period is very uncertain...hope this helps..!

Evening All and the charts that's the gfs and ecm have watered down the late heat for late week into the weekend by a vast degree. Probably reaching 21c/70f somewhere across south east Britain, as things stand now . later in the ten day period both models show a volatile outlook.....

Yep only to be washed away in future model runs.....

Its Changing!

Evening! The gfs and ecm show the Atlantic in full control in one shape or another , but caution needed as to the detail as we proceed into next week, there will be a few weak ridges developing across the nation thanks to the jet stream but yet again the strong jet stream will give Britain some proper Autumn weather , model viewing at the moment is a little bit like viewing Boats on a Stormy Sea!

Evening! Well an undulating jet stream bring just about everything Autumn offers Enjoy as this is proper Autumn certainly different from the previous few....Just heads up for Scotland during Wednesday time , a very strong jet streak associated with a small but viscious low pressure system may bring some daminging winds for a time ,one to watch.....

Hello All and Hope you have had a great weekend. Both gfs and ecm show a traditional spell of Autumn weather , and now the muddy waters of the ex Hurricanes moving away , both models show cold and milder spells with some fine weather in between with some weak ridges building allowing for some sparkling sunshine by day but some frost at night. Overall the Atlantic wins out ,so I should imagine the Scottish Mountains at times will see some snow in the next ten days .....Ps ...Nice to hear the BBC using the word cold rather than cool . perhaps they have listened to me!!!

But must admit it's a bit sad that people moaning about these GIFs etc if you don't want to read my post please use the ignore facility..........

Looks like a rollercoaster ride especially from ecm ,gfs less so , but with a strong jet stream making its home across the nation it really looks like a traditional mix of rain wind cold ,even frost as weak ridges develop and milder days too, but the next few days ahead look interesting , with extropical activity moving towards us...... Just watch the skies in the next day or two and some of us will see something interesting

It won't happen there is a very high level of Shannon entropy or very uncertainty ,charts posted like that are merely for amusement

Evening All , Massive differences between gfs and ecm at the T+96 to 120 timeframe All I can say is "WOW" gfs clears exMaria into the jet stream much quicker than ecm , will be interesting viewing in the next few days , all I can say is be prepared .....

Hello Folks , the Calm before the storm...Perhaps , but a few days of benign weather before we enter a very turbulent and aggressive jet streamLate weekend into early next week the potential of a major Autumn storm , remnants of the ex hurricanes etc. A strong jet stream of 200 mph plus may well lead us into the most stormy Autumn storm for a good many years .

The latest gfs shows Maria knocking on the eastern seabored of the usa but thankfully desolving into the very cold waters of the North Atlantic
