Here at the vale weather station its been a wonderful "winters" day again!! current temp...@18.42 4.4c max temp....13.5c low temp...minus 2.5c barometer...1035.8mbs humidity...85% dewpoint 2c max wind gust 5mph rainfall ,ha ha ha

Well almost another springlike day in the vale , current temp@18.14 6.4c high temp 13.2c low temp minus 3.2c max wind 5mph ne barometer 1033.3mbs humidity 79% rainfall ZILCH!

Could be forgiven its spring! A beautiful sunny morning although slightly tempered by some cirrus clouds. A little frost on the ground still@ 9.20am and overnight low of 0.3c! :lol:

A very pleasant winters day once the early light showers moved away, current temp,4.3c high temp 9.9c low temp 4.3c max wind gust 24mph west rainfall 0.2mms dewpoint 1c barometer 1031.6 mbs humidity 79% currently clear skies!

Not a bad start to the day but it went all down hill very quickly! though unseasonably mild.... current temp 7.5c high temp 11.9c low temp 6.1c max wind gust 32mph@ 00.43 dewpoint 6c humidity 88% barometer 997.5.

A cold and icy start followed by a few brief showers but the wind made it feel very cold max temp 8.3c low temp 1.6c max wind 25mph current temp@ 19.32 is 6.3c dewpoint 3c barometer 1001.7mbs humidity 80% rainfall 1mm :blush:

A mild and pleasant day in this fair corner current temp@18.32 is 5.8c todays high 12c low 5.3c max wind 16mph barometer 1034.2mbs humidity 86% dewpoint 4c

A lovely winters day here in the Vale ,oh and on the Beautifull Malvern Hills current temp @18.02 is 7.7c max temp11.8c mintemp 6.4c rainfall nill dewpoint 4c barometer 1033.7 mbs humidity 78% max wind speed 27mph from the ssw.

A very mild day here with a little brightness this morning pushing the temperature up to an unseasonable 14c. low temp 11.6c max wind 24 from the southwest dewpoint 11c barometer 1018mbs outside humidity 88% rainfall nil. :lol:

Unseasonably mild here, max temp 13.4 c low temp 6.4c rainfall 0.8mms ahhhh what a wonderful winter we are having need I say more......

Cloudy and windy here with the onset of the heavy rain to the west ,but mild current temps are 11.5c at 10.15am. winds from the sw at 14 gusting to 35 to 40mph pressure 995.9mb falling rapidly humidity 76% dewpoint 7c low overnight temp 9.3c.

Here at the vale weather station its currently cloudy windy and mild temp at 18.08 is 10.2c with a max temp of 11.5c but strong winds with a max gust of 31mph so far

Cloudy and a cold wind here. current temps are 7c wind sw 10mph, dewpoint 3c and pressure 997.3mbs steady. max gust 25mph, min temp 5.3c and max temp8.3c. :o

You want to come to Evesham, theres a better chance of seeing snow!

Cold here this morning with the temp getting down to minus 3.1 a short time ago, with current temp about minus2.6 with some lovely freezing fog! <_<

Thanks Mr Data. I remember that winter very well for various reasons, and the freezing rain event was quite exceptional in our area, as we were all expecting snow and we got that instead! My car was incased in solid ice , up untill then Ive never seen anything like it and the pavements and roads were lethal, my dad was driving a bedford rascal at the time , and that turned over on the icy :lol: roads! luckily he was ok! Ok, it was not the coldest longest winter on record, but when temperatures get as low as minus 27.2c in the UK it really is something, and I think that was the coldest temperature recorded since the infamous winter of 1890. It was a year of extremes, because that year it was a hot summer as well! :lol:

Long range forecasts are always open to riddicule . Why? Because they are never correct! With the greatest respect to the forecasts on here and the forecasters, lrf is like trying to find the door to go outside when you are in a strange room/house and your in pitch darknness and your blindfolded! It takes a lot of understanding and experience to put lrf togeather ,but as always its a "shot in the dark" just like it is with other aspects of nature and trying to predict the next move etc.I think the latest forecast from NW is about as good as anyone can do with such a long range. I know a bad workman blames his tools but in this case we can blame our models/tools [as often we do] and a good forecaster can have egg on his face from bad and inacurrate info from the models even in a reliable time frame! I think the latest winter forecast is "playing safe" and netweather are a professional team with there forecasting, as they are not like some other folks/media, who make sensational" silly" forecasts just to get ATTENTION!
