  1. Haaa haaa :)

Well it's a shame we have had more than you so far this Winter, i'm sure you was loving it when all the attention was down South weren't ya. I call it how I see it, I don't try and BS people with talk of Polar Lows when theres no such thing around :o

Why am I stirring? I came on here this afternoon to say that there was no Polar Low coming to affect Scotland because that is how I saw it... If I thought there was a Polar Low I would have discussed it. I said that and then I read the replies and I've had you having a dig at me and Catchmydift having a dig aswell.

I would be very suprised if you have seen more snow than me mate! this winter! As I speak still got around about 10-12cm lying! day 8 of lying snow and plus had a good few coverings already this winter been a very good winter so far!

  2. Round 2 tomorrow night for Glasgow and the west ? It would be good to top up the snow after todays slight thaw!

wow  didnt notice these charts if these come of I am probably looking at another 3inches at least , would take me closer to the level foot of snow B) Cheers Ross :)

  3. fantastic day here in Glasgow 0c and snow everywhere even at Glasgow uni which is rare, will post pictures later on 6-7 inches of snow up on higher ground around my house.Although last nights snow fell on top of 3-4 inches hence total cover around about 6-7inches :)Cheers

  4. HI Scott,

    I posted this earlier today.

It seems like you can have dissruptive snows to the North & to the South even down in England these days, while us guys here in the East Central Scotland only receive the crumbs now!!! :D

This would appear to be the pattern now over the recent dismal winters :D

Is that B**** River Forth and the North Sea to our East Coast, as warm as a bath now in the late 2000s ???

Going by what has been shown on the news, I now also could mention Ireland to the west!

    Big Innes

Yeah Definitely you guys have been very unlucky although its bound to change :) I am sure you will get some snow at some point during this cold spell :) Just out of interest when was the last nite you had a notable snowfall ie >10cms?Cheers

  5. The west coast has struggled as well, we haven't had a good fall now for coming up on 3years. You only get lots because you live high up

    (Not moaning by the way)

yeah Ross agree with you also I think I have been lucky in the past most notably March 2006 which was quite a localised event if I remember correctly? I think me and the other user on here catch my drift got a ridiculous amount of snow whereas you ended up with a couple of inches of snow? But I think we need another December 2000 event to lift the spirits up here  Cheers

  6. Yes these winters are just miserable with very little happening.

I've given up on a decent fall of snow- the models are showing nothing but dry conditions around our neck of the woods whereas up north in Aberdeen they'll get more snow from the northerly and down south they get blanketed....again...

    :)

Well here in Glasgow where I live every year we get at least a covering. Now fair play the guys down the south are getting a good bit of snow but come on some places down there havent seen 2cm plus for over a decade! These people are literally snow starved! Also us folks here have the luxury of driving less than an hour and having 3000feet plus peaks easily accesible so snows not that far away :)

I know what I would rather have consistent snow every year almost as apposed to a once in a decade event down in London!Although I must admit the east coast has struggled in recent years but it swings about in roundabouts! But never mind we may get some more snow this forthcoming week  All the best

  7. Heather the Weather forecast was good at 6.55pm tonight. 9pm onwards for heavy snowfall and well into the morning for us Dexter.

Unfortunetly, seems the west coast won't receive much, if any. I think the cut off point is Glasgow tbh.

yeah saw that forecast you should definately get a good snowfall out of this, white area seemed pretty expansive looks like my area is just init should will be touch and go but happy with what I have got already hope you get a good fall :o Cheers

  8. stopped snowing here about 30mins ago channel 4 news says we are to get heavy show tomorrow

Actually cant believe how well I have done from this easterly, was in the west end of Glasgow today for uni and there was nothing 5 miles down the road to the southside and 10-15cm. Also think parts of East Kilbride may get over a foot from this snow easily, wouldnt suprise me If somewhere in East Kilbride has a foot of level snow.
