    Sorry just caught up on the replies to what people are remarking as a jealous post. In no way was i coming across to be jealous i am happy for those who got snow. I am however thinking what impact melting snow can have as nightfall comes and temperatures drop like a stone. Hopefully people can understand what i am trying to say.

    Hope all the snow down the south & east of me clears away quickly. Feeling quite pleasant out in the warmish sunshine & looking forward to temps recovering soon enough.

    I'm in east croydon atm and nothing apart from a few flurries me thinks your telling a few porky pies. & as for waking up and seeing a good covering of snow two words = NO CHANCE !

    That's you're view i am not ashamed to admit however i am a greedy & jealous person so in a way no im not happy. Still their is always another year if i can be bothered with this snow fascination anymore and believe me my patience is being tested.

    No chance I've been working in sunnymeads all day and skys are clear now naff all today. Am just waiting for this pathetic spell to end and spring sunshine to take over now because working out in cold weather until 1am is not great. Settling snow makes up for it though but not this time.

    Yep its time to say bye bye snow & winter for my area. You have promised so much but have delivered precious little. 2/10!

    Doubt it John with temps starting to recover slowly tomorrow onwards. Its really frontal snow I'm after or a shower train that don't stop & start. The showers I had this morning was beefy but i am never happy as its settling snow I'm after mate.

    Should do but its not going to be north enough to affect your and my area at all. Just another unlucky event & probaly the last of the winter. Shame winters final fling could not go out with a bang for the whole of the south and east.

    It really is a tame effort thus far snow wise apart from a few showers this morning nothing has happened this afternoon. Don't think we could see anything more this evening and overnight as even south London is too far north. Typical luckless event.

    I'm all over the place atm working and now heading towards feltham and it looks as if over that way it is very dark so it will be intresting to see what happens when i arrive shortly. Do agree with you re the sun & convection.

    Thames is not really firing up as i know it can do atm. A few light flurries and that's it. Very disappointing thus far.

    London to receive nothing apart from a few flakes as per my prediction last night. Its at times like these where you feel like giving up you're hobby of weather watching esp snow.

    Am i the only person thinking that a thames streamer is about to kick off? Latest radar posted by sno shows a classic line and if they reach the thames it those showers should pep up. Winds are starting to turn more favourable for a thames streamer also. Intresting few hours ahead now on the way back home to sw London from west London.
