  1. It has been very pleasant these past few days and fresher at night, it hasn't been hot at all, September isn't a cold month with average temps similar to June, March is way colder , early April was exceptionally cold feeling more like January with bitter NE'ly winds with snow cover on high ground in the midlands .
  2. I think the current weather patterns with a stagnant HP cell over us/near continent are a sign of things to come this winter but just alot colder
  3. Wrong it's actually exactly 13 weeks until the shortest day(Dec 21st)
  4. I know people think cold Octobers are no good for our winter prospects but I would love a HLB'ing October with frost and even snowfall in the north, I don't buy the warm dry October = Cold winter theory,,, the weather will do what it wants no matter what happens in October. That chart above with how trends are going this September is definitely plausible at some point in October.
  5. Everyone is going on about mild winters and cold winters, it's most likely to be near average which if it isn't too wet will do me just fine.
  6. I wouldn't bother reasoning with them gaz, if no official station is recording it in an urban area they will ignore anything in the middle of the countryside in river valleys, river valleys in central Warwickshire get very cold even on calm clear mid summer nights, have recorded temps just below 0C there in the summer months even in July but nobody would believe me and say i'm lying.
  7. He doesn't get any sympathy from me, nobody in their right mind cycles home on dangerous roads in rush hour in darkness, its just crazy, saw a cyclist go through a red light this morning, most have no respect for the highway code, btw I cycle do myself but sensibly and not in pitch black ever on dangerous roads. Its pointless moaning about darkness anyway there is nothing you can do about it, maybe bottesford should get something else that he may be able to change to moan about instead of wasting our time with his endless moaning, now that is depressing.
  8. It's the same frosty anyweather, you can tell by the lack of paragraphs
  9. lol stuffy is the last word I would use to describe winter, I think stuffy sums up the past week, oppressive with a lack of freshness unlike today which was gorgeous, not sure why the warmies like to be in their house when it feels like an oven, what is fun in that, modern houses built in the past 50 years really keep their heat unlike Victorian/Edwardian houses.
  10. Yes very tedious summer for exciting weather even mild winters provide more excitement at least with gales and heavy rain even HP offers more variety in winter. I really miss those Polar Maritime NW'lys, at least they offer some convection in Spring.
  11. Overcast here too, I think i'm moving to the Sunny Haven of the NE
  12. Yes it hasn't been as promising as some in MD were saying just over a week ago, time to change thoughts to Autumn now, real heat is very hard to achieve from now, just look at the past few days away from the SE, nothing special temperature wise and the airmass was very warm too showing you the effects the longer nights are already having. Just murky and drizzly here, awful weather and unpleasantly humid too, give me a crisp winters day anyway at least you can get things done without sweating and having a headache like you do from this weather.
  13. Coming up to my favourite time of the year September to April, just too much light May to August, so glad the kids will be back at school here in just two weeks time, also less anti social behaviour when the nights draw in. So much to look forward to in the next 9 months like halloween , bonfire night, christmas and easter, also TV, Sport , video game releases pick up, can't wait for the PS4, Ipad 5, Xbox One releases in October/November, just so much to look forward to The Dead Season is almost over
  14. 10th anniversary coming up of one of the most incredible events in UK summer history, great video I recommend you watch all of it even though its over 30 minutes long.
  15. I spoke to someone today who lives in the north of Coventry whose neighbour had their roof destroyed by lightning yesterday around 6 pm
  16. Count yourself lucky, absolutely nothing here today, it rained just 7 miles away in Southam and Solihull was hit hard also, just unbelievable how just south of Coventry always misses the showers, am going to try and contact a local meteorologist to find out the answer why. The NSC Official Office will be opening here soon
  17. Yes that's impressive, definitely too much to ask for a 16C drop 3 months later, December maybe, 16C lower than July or more
  18. LOL, yet you constantly forecast 20C CET's for summer months
  19. Mid Warwickshire is the no storms club capital, trust me all the thunderstorms go just to my west or my east and we are always on the edge of them. Loads of times relatives I have in Knowle tell me they get rain where its as dry as a bone here, rugby gets more also.
  20. All the hype over storms all week has sadly failed to come true, nothing looking likely until Saturday night now for our region and only briefly like Tuesday morning.
  21. Yes walking in the countryside is a nightmare currently because of loads of bluebottles attacking you, have to restrict my walks to town area's which aren't too bad or very early in the morning, haven't seen any flying ants yet. Wasps I don't find a problem.
  22. I agree with most of what you say, first half of September can be summer like but after mid month its very difficult to get proper summer heat(early Oct 1985/Late Sept 2011 needed exceptional record breaking airmasses to achieve it unlike now. First week of March winter but then as we approach the spring equinox its definitely spring, November is hard to call, the long darkness hours might give the feel of winter but some warm temps are possible especially the first half with 20.0C+ being recorded which even February hasn't achieved.
