  1. Anything less will be a massive improvement on the current weather and people can still go out and about without worrying about being stuck in flood water. Not sure where your cloudy easterly is on GFS 18Z, looks a clear slack northerly/northeasterly flow to me with lots of sunshine and crisp cold days.
  2. LOL, why are people making such absurd comments like winter is over on only Nov 9th when winter doesn't get going until late December onwards just like summer late June onwards, even the bitterly cold winter of 1962/63 didn't really get going until boxing day onwards, alot of knee jerkers around it seems.
  3. That russian high everyone was getting excited about last week regarding delivering wintry weather looks like now delivering very mild conditions, could feel very warm for late October under any sunny spells.
  4. I just hope we get a winter that doesn't start early and ends in mid Jan but rather starts late December around Christmas and lasts until mid March.
  5. Not sure why there is so much excitement over a blocking high to our northeast developing in mid October, way too early for cold snowy easterlies, from mid November much better .
  6. This is what Gibby said on Tuesday morning Sept 11th in his excellent model analysis just two days ago, Today just two days later it looks cooler with NW'ly winds, quite incredible change around and shows people should never take models for granted just T+120 hrs ahead.
  7. Winter seems a long long long long way away with the weather we have currently, really roasting weather, indoors especially.
  8. Yet add a 2C before 2C to 6C and you find it much more exciting and pleasant, those 2C to 6C maxs are great for long distance walks, it can be sunny with those temps you know, your propaganda of temps average to below average = dull weather is very tiring indeed, troll like infact.
  9. There is still some potency to the sun in early september, definately feels weaker by evening but in mid afternoon it's still very strong.
  10. This is what they say for late November, sounds lovely. Summer like weather in late November.
  11. We are long overdue a cold september, would love one this year to prove they are still achievable, the warmth and humidity since mid June are getting very tiring now, would love to see a greenland high dominated september with some proper PM air coming south, september can deliver the first properly cool PM northwesterlies since the spring, don't usually last long but still very nice. I think the earliest lowland snowfall in england is around Sept 19th so proves just what is possible in September.
  12. Sounds like most of this summer, tedious with large amounts of cloud cover like today, not much temperature ranges between day and night. Most of your comments have been moaning also so i dont think you disagree that much apart from the last few weeks.
  13. Big change to the feel of the weather by the weekend, as you can see on these ensembles 850 hPa temps take a pretty big dip to well below average. http://www.wetterzentrale.de/pics/MT8_London_ens.png http://www.wetterzentrale.de/pics/MT8_Manchester_ens.png
  14. I don't agree at all, yesterday had a nice dry pleasant heat feel to the weather today has a more clammy not as pleasant kind of heat.
  15. LOL some very angry people in here over a few hot days, you should be relieved its turning much cooler from next weekend you angry heat haters
  16. A drier than average near average temperature winter will do me just fine
  17. Yes looking forward to Autumn/Winter now, those cosy darker evenings and all the autumn/winter activities we can look forward to then the big one in late December.
  18. Really need a settling down from mid July for my forecast, done quite good so far but not confident of it settling down from mid July now i'm afraid but you never know. Might just starting slightly later though in late July.
  19. Some warm and very humid nights this past week, http://www.weatheronline.co.uk/cgi-bin/cgicurrentgraph?CEL=C&ART=karte&LANG=en&JJ=2012&MM=07&TT=06&TIME=0200&TYP=temperatursyn&KEY=UK&LAND=UK&CONT=ukuk&TIME=1341638819
  20. Slugs and snails are having a field day, plagues of them, keep squashing snails by accident of course
  21. The very humid nights are getting very tiring indeed, really can't wait for something fresher, darker evenings i find are nice and cosy, sitting in watching a good movie, playing a video game, reading a novel are much more enjoyable in autumn/winter, also the footie season is in full flow, July seems to be a nothing month with not much happening.
  22. Nice week ahead for wimbledon, hardly any rain at all for southeasterners all week, the rain later in the week looks like quickly moving through wales into northern england, south midlands also very dry, like i said a summer pattern is now setting itself up, summer for midlanders and the southeast, more mixed further north and west.
  23. Warm humid week ahead for us midlanders, mainly dry with only a few periods of rain, pretty patchy too apart from overnight tonight, breezy end of week but mild and dry with sunny intervals.
