  1. Long time lover of this thread (+8 years) and my appreciation goes out to all regular posters, you know who you are... your insight and knowledge is really appreciated, i have learnt alot!! My advice for what it's worth is that things can change very quickly, one run to another... don't get your hopes up on a dumping of the white stuff until 24hrs away, ppn charts indicating snow +48hrs away should be taken with a pinch of salt.
  2. I've seen recently a number of articles from the daily express saying we will be having a really cold winter with heavy snow ect... I never listen or take on board anything they say, one time in a million they will be right. But as a matter of interest will the stronger than usual el-nino effect this winters weather more than the last few?
  3. Thanks MIA, I will try to enforce a little PMA myself, like you say this situation is very much nowcasting! My only issue with that is the lampost outside my house has stopped working tonight! Signal perhaps? P.M.A!!!
  4. Evening all, my toys are well and truly out of the pram, along with the dummy and blanket!! I've been on these forums since 2007 and only just found my voice so bear with! I don't think I can recall such big upgrades/downgrades regarding tomorrow's snow event / non event. One run we are sweet as, next damp squib! I've just ordered beers all around for all models for an upgrade on the pub run. Thanks to those more experienced posters, Steve M, shaky, bish ect, your input is invaluable. Glasses ready for the 18z!!
  5. Just looking at the GFS 18Z and nearly fell off my chair, from how I read it around 20hrs if snow for us on wednesday. I understand that ppn charts are often overcooked but the accumulations charts look heafty too! Anyway, after todays swings and roundsabouts on the models, I'll be tidying the toys and picking up the dummy ready to throw them about tomorrow after the downgrade no doubt in the morning
  6. Just nearly fell over, looks like I'll have a small dusting in the morning after all. The little ones will be well pleased when they wake up!! In the last hour or so I've had a good delivery of the white stuff! Although it was ordered it wasn't delivered by City Link! TNT I think, just waiting for the pyrotechnics... Thundersnow... hummm.. pipe dream I think. Grateful for the dusting!
  7. ok, so not many posts from me but here goes... long time lurker and rare poster, but I'm quite gutted and disgruntled re tonights snow or lack of it! Just had a look at the met office app and they have dropped the yellow warning for me! looking at the radar we may get some later tonight but I'm not hopeful!! The weather is was it is and I would like to think that those that do get snow tonight, enjoy it! I can only wish that I get some IMBY soon
  8. Meto have me for heavy snow from 9 this eve, NAE shows snow should start around 6ish then not stop for around 12 hours although losing intensity as it breaks up. I think we'll get 10cm easy. (cant post charts as in on mobile, sorry)
  9. Steady moderate rain in kenilworth, bit of ice mixed in. Feels a little colder than earlier. Hoping for a final dumping of snow but thinking that's it for us. Gutted
  10. Light dusting here in kenilworth, met office app has just changed from light snow at 3am to heavy snow! Looks like it is back building!bring it on!!!!!
