Early convective activity. Don't think I've seen convection this year!
-
CloudYou first thing but starting to clear now
-
Yet again slinking off to the NSC for another year...
-
Dry, 100% cloud cover, slight wind and almost feeling autumnal at 10c
-
Just to prove I DO sometimes comment about nice weather haha.
Gorgeous gorgeous gorgeous here today. Perfect June day so far. Clear, nice v.light breeze, warming up nicely

It's the pattern I've noticed the past three or four "summers" - the Anomalous Northwesterly begins in June and lasts for the rest of the "summer" bringing a relentless flood of polar maritime air, resulting in sunny breakfast times before the grey lid of Sc slams down, which doesn't melt away until sunset when what little heat from the day radiates away overnight under clear skies. Next day: rinse and repeat.
The only problem with 2015 is that the Anomalous Northwesterly arrived six weeks early in late April. In this neck of the woods since 2010 summer has been two or three warm weeks in July before the AN reasserts itself.
Agreed. And the lack of any appreciable heat affects our storm chances too. Which have basically been nil for years!

Actually it's gone nice out there now. It's odd. Sunny VERY early morning, cloudy and windy for pretty much the bulk of the day then it brightens again late evening. Problem is, the temperatures nose dive especially with that wind and it's too cold to sit out and enjoy it. Anyone else finding that pattern

Cold, cloudy and very windy, just 13C. Bloody hopeless for early June teatime. Looks like the relentless cold with continue for the foreseen future looking at next week's forecast.
I'd love to agree with you, but again I'm not allowed to post negative comments about the weather on here because of complaints from a certain Netweather member
So it's hit a brilliant 12c here, with a gusty wind and has been overcast for the last five or six hours. Love this weather!

Cold this morning. drizzle earlier now turning to heavier rain.
-
Again, according to a forum member all I do is come on here and whinge about the weather. So for the record, it's June, cloudy, dull, with a cold NW wind and just touching 10c. It really doesn't get any better than this...fantastic! So happy right now!

Turned into a pleasant-ish evening here. Scattered Cu and plenty of blue sky. Bit envious of all those cells down South atm though!

Again, not allowed to post anything negative weather wise because of another members comments about me. So everything is amazing up here in North Cheshire right now...grey skies. Rain. 11c. Love it................................

Swear every Sunday this Spring has been exactly the same now, despite a crystal clear night cloudzilla was back by 8am.
Same here. Gorgeous day yesterday, albeit a bit windy! But Sundays seem without exception at the moment to be turning out cool, windy, cloudy and basically...dull! It's strange!

Apparently according to another member on here I only ever post negative posts and I'm absent when the sun is shining and the weather nice..So not able to post about how dire May has been so far this year... !

Gorgeous morning but cloud starting to move in from the south west. Enjoyed the sun whilst it was out!
-
Lol, yeah it's starting to burn off here now too. My pessimism was premature!
-
Another day of foggy, cloudy, dull dross. Can't see this murk burning off today.
-
Wondering if this mind-numbing cloudy, non-descript dross is ever going to shift. Really getting to me now...
-
Featureless, bland grey blanket of cloud, feeling cold but no wind. Utterly utterly depressing
-
be thankful its not raining! your location looks sunny tomorrow, where as mine miles further east is heavy rain all day, West is best for tomorrow
I truly hope you are right! I would actually take some rain atm! At least it would be slightly more interesting than what we currently have!
-
The usual Cheshire dross here today. Feeling cold and unremitting grey skies.

Literally cannot take much more of this unremitting grey dross here. We were "blessed" with about five minutes of sunshine yesterday and about ten minutes this morning. And now, same old overcast, cold rubbish. Getting me down now :-(

I dont think its been dull in the lack of sunshine its been fairly sunny , but despite the usual areas.... ie central/ southern eastern parts getting a decent thundery year, here in the good old NW its been rubbish, just two notable overhead storms this year, and a few days of odd distant rumbles. Another disappointing year , August usually delivers, but I feel the cool NWesterly setting in will quell chances,
Never mind, October was the best month last year for storms
Yeah, tbf sunshine has been pretty good for us, especially July this year. But storms or other activity....non starter.

Well, yet again my scepticism seems to have been proved right. Cloud has moved in and completely killed any heat build up. Fantastic....
