Nothing happening here. Standard.

77% chance for us today according to Netweather forecasts..............
hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha..............yeah right. See you all back here tomorrow then!

-
Also the Netweather forecast has us down 7-10pm as a 77% chance of thunderstorms! Kiss of Death!!
-
Expecting the usual snooze-a-thon non event for Cheshire then. Slinking off to the NSC for the 2014 "storm season"...............

Well guys, it's been emotional but I have to leave you all..........
I'M OUT OF HERE!

First opportunity to post on here since yesterday. I'm pleased to announce....................
I'M OUT OF THE NSC!!!!
-
My subscription for NW Extra ran out yesterday and I'm too disillusioned to renew it. So of course we will have storms today!
Seriously though, can't see much happening round here today. Started off with the usual Cheshire mid-level white/grey murk that we've come to know and hate. Feeling cool too, much cooler than yesterday.
-
Lashing down here, surprised we've had no thunder given the intensity.
Moderate rainfall here. Nothing of much interest. Disappointing day, we had the humidity and heat but as usual, nothing else. Maybe 2015 will bring something.
-
Yeah, that's Cheshire for you. Same thing happened in March with that 'blizzard'. I don't know why it's become a weather void though- it never used to be.
Lol, It's not just a storm shield here anymore is it! It truly is a Weather Shield! Moderate rain here now, Been so hot and humid here today, great surface heating....and the end result was the usual mid-level white cloud. It's baffling

Picturing the headlines in the Sunday Express tomorrow....
"COUNTY OF CHESHIRE IN FAIRLY MODERATE CONVECTIVE RAIN SHOCK! QUESTIONS ASKED ON NETWEATHER...HOW DID IT HAPPEN?"
(but still seven years since any storm activity...see Page 4)
-
Meanwhile, back in storm starved Cheshire....
Feels "stormy", and plenty of ground heating today but nothing on the cards up here for tonight I think. Wonder what it will actually take for us to get some action!!!
-
12z GFS Op is quite consistent in modelling a fairly widespread and active, convective day on Monday;
If you look closely at the Storm Risk chart, there is the smallest of parcels situated over Cheshire indicating minimal potential of storms;
Indicated within the red circle. lol.
I literally give up!
-
Evening watcher! How the devil are thee
Really am praying for your sanity and that a thunderclap is heard by your good self very shortly! You-tube aside..
I'd actually just take convective rain at the moment it's got that desperate lolol. Good luck everyone!
-
Another snore-fest here...............nothing interesting happening but can see convection to my East.
-
lol. you can see the Cheshire storm zapper has been active, click on the map to see a larger image and the void in north Cheshire is plain to see, just laughable , the lightning kicks off again as it enters lancs, what the hell
and another place that storms avoid is St Helens, yesterday i had to leave a half decent storm here to go to work, as i headed to St Helens it was just light drizzle there. the folks said there was just a couple of distant rumbles over Wigan way.
Yes thats the storm I had to leave to come here and miss the best part, damn work
Yep, welcome to my (storm free) world....How it managed to side-skirt virtually a whole county so perfectly is quite something!
-
Well that was ANOTHER let down. Why am I not surprised. All that nice convection has been replaced by the usual Cheshire murk....temperature has dropped but the humidity is still unbearable. nothing doing here I'm afraid
-
Jordan (Backtrack) has just posted this on FB. Looks like he's in Runcorn
Impressive!
-
Which way is it heading Cloud Watcher orr CC?
I think it's NNE. Looked ready to explode a minute ago! (it won't though haha) But definitely a LOT more unstable around here than the last few days
-
Must be the cell thats currently over Runcorn/ Frodsham. Not electrical but looks convective at least...
-
Going VERY dark to my NE/E now, looking towards Manchester direction....
Humidity has picked up last half hour as well
-
-
And some popping up in Merseyside now too. Nothing electrical but....
-
Yeah, little cell just popped up at the mouth of the Dee Estuary on the Wirral.
-
I have the same thing here. Convection starting to bubble away.
It's the most interesting thing we've witnessed this week haha! Hence the pics! :-)
