  1. The mods are even deleting posts thanking other members for informative write ups, even related to the models! ( Wasn't a one liner either ) No wonder I stopped posting for over a year
  2. Even more photo's here -> https://500px.com/neil79
  3. Great for photography and hear shipping horns in distant fog along the coast.... Silent Hill
  4. Radar showed decent enough snow towards the south east, but barely a flake! False radar me thinks
  5. That was some snow! Really blowing and we kept having power issues
  6. Needs to snow for another hour at least to cover here, it rained until rather late
  7. No snow in Canterbury, Herne Bay, just rain... Running out of time

  9. UPDATE http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/video_and_audio/headlines/38592912
  10. Forecast this morning keeps mentioning the snow later with "Blizzards" possible on the North Downs, then more snow possible Friday before turning milder up to 9C on Sunday
  11. I completely agree that is if you are following the GFS, however the met I believe using the UKMO? States a period of sleet/snow moving south on Friday, but from then on temps are expected to rise up to 9C on Sunday! They haven't gone into next week however
  12. I've tried to stay out of there as usually it's people quoting Matt Hugo 10 times a day telling us what we already know! But here if it does snow I might go to the hills of Canterbury
  13. Just watched the week ahead and they showed the north westerlies becoming northerly blasting into the weekend, however they said next week turning milder with an atlantic influence. Can't see any ridging to the north east or east from the met yet
  14. I can honestly say I don't think I've seen the GFS verify throughout this entire winter so far has it? At least it's hard to keep up with one run being completely different than the next
  15. I'm back after many months of holding back my frustrations watching lots of excitement coming from Matt Hugo only to be a bunch of hot air, but looking at these charts above, on the 15th of Jan is that a disturbance running down the east coast into south east england? Could well bring snow if that was to verify. Only but hope as we haven't seen any snow since 2010
  16. I haven't posted for bloody ages! But I'm wondering if the winds switching to the n/ne late weekend/monday might push a few snow showers our way?
  17. Why the excitement? Easterly winds = cold, possibly cloudy weather coming in off the north sea for many eastern areas.
  18. Lots of Altocumulus coming up from the south east, how's Ashford looking tonight?
