  1. I Just sent that to the BBC Weather Twitter account, let's see if they defend themselves over this one
  2. Winter never started In fact winter has been so bad, I never got told off once in the model section, which for me, is rather rare
  3. At least Atlantic weather is interesting! High winds, blasting rain against the window.
  4. BBC Forecast... Bitter winds developing this weekend, with just one or two wintry showers hah!
  5. Oh so it's the Sunday AFTER now is it? Next it will be April, we've already moved from Feb
  6. " Winter conditions in control across the uk " What winter conditions???????
  7. As NOBODY has got the forecast right and even the models have been pants, right back to December, I'd say this has as much chance of happening as winning a lucky dip in a lottery pick. Snow, yeh right!
  8. Oh you mean like Dec? Or was it Jan? Perhaps it's for the end of FEB, could even be march You've just posted what people said months ago
  9. I'd say your inland location has probably given you the chance of more frost, here living not far away from the coast, not so much
  10. We never went into the Freezer in the first place, it's been average to mild. ONE day of frost, ONE!!!!!!!!!
  11. Once again the model discussion is in over drive about snow/winter... Pointless as it has been ALL winter thus far. Hence why I haven't posted in there anymore
  12. I haven't seen ANY snow for two and a half years, and I've tried as much as possible to even avoid this forum. The models have been all over the place and every time I see all that cold air blasting its way into NE states, I just give up.
  13. What is everyone so upbeat about in the model section? Looks boring down south, a long run in a two and a half year period of snowless winters
  14. Looks like NE states going into the deep freeze AGAIN, so annoying it happens so many times, any reason why this happens so often?
  15. I have't seen a covering of snow for over two years! And I should get excited about a cold dry spell? Uh no
  16. It cannot be taking seriously in ANY situations, people keep saying blocking, but how many times have I seen year after year, explosive low pressure systems! So many times people have said " Oh dear that looks bad if that happens ", " If that low hits, it could cause devastation ", and a part from a bit of wind or a different direction, it's vastly different.
  17. Wasn't the GFS supposed to be the NEW GFS which came about in 2014? It doesn't seem to be all that better, and I'm not talking about this cold spell, but the fact that it constantly tries to make low pressure systems about as destructive as possible
  18. I posted this on the 6th and was completely ignored, yet looking at some of the models this seems to have happened? Or am I reading the models wrong
  19. Wow Steve, I've not seen that drop so low for years! Actually I don't think we had any snow here last winter either
  20. I've spent the past month trying to get access to the site after forgetting my password, turns out it was the username isn't the original one ooops! Anyway back on topic, it makes a change to see models like this and staying like this when you wake up first thing in the morning, but my question is what stops the low pressure over the uk next week, staying over the uk or filling. And not allowing the cold to filter south?
  21. Why does this keep happening or dumping itself over NE states? It's been a real nail in the winter coffin these last what, 4 years?
  22. Why yet again, does the cold pool keep situating itself over NE states and Canada? Or is it in a completely different place to last year? Can someone compare Cheers Oh and good morning
