  1. I just think it's **** annoying the difference between the bbc and met. Local and National! How can people put any faith in them if they are so widely different, sometimes just 30mins apart
  2. You did know that temps/dps were actually higher on saturday and we had heavy snow? That was in Canterbury
  3. Outlook for Wednesday to Friday Wednesday snow showers, some heavy, producing slight accumulations. Thursday snow showers become lighter and more scattered, leaving Friday with sunny spells and isolated snow showers. Overnight frosts, locally severe. Windy.
  4. Thanks Nick, lets hope they keep the warnings up for what so far has been another naff winter
  5. Any updates for Tuesday Night - Thurs as that was supposed to be the concerns from the met office, although they do like throwing Wintry Showers into the mix
  6. Useless forecasters! How can they can go from Snow Showers, possibly giving a covering to the odd Wintry Shower, rain sleet and snow in the space of 8 hours from one forecast to the next. Why do they bother seriously
  7. Doesn't look like any snow showers tomorrow, more likely Tuesday onwards... Although I don't go much by the bbc weather, they change every half hour!
  8. Interesting, I just watched the week ahead and they mentioned the possibility of even colder air returning next week? Also this Fergie Incidentally, one thing we've been watching for since EC-EPS output yesterday is potential for another colder N'ly later next week, depending on high orientation. One to watch.
  9. That's what I've just asked, but it seems some would be moderators didn't like it
  10. fergieweather, on 01 Feb 2015 - 16:51, said: It will be (this week) because departing vortex to SE ensures sufficient instability even with rise in GPH from W. Profiles for N Sea/SE coasts suggest typical winter low-topped Cb's at times.
  11. Says it all doesn't it, shame on me for constantly taking notice of the model chat!
  12. So far this has been an utter **** winter in the South East (KENT), it hasn't been that cold, and when we did get snow it either rained before hand or turned to rain right after. Why is it so damn difficult to get even a couple of CM on the ground? Why has it been so marginal? First it was WED night, then look towards the weekend, now next week and even that is on a knife edge bah
  13. Well here, the grass is white and as are parts of peoples roofs We had a dusting, such a shame it didn't keep going, huge 50p flakes
  14. Heavy Snow in Canterbury!!!!!! :D Looks really beautiful, heaviest snowfall since 2013
  15. Haven't had any updates for the snow RE TUES/WED, anyone got any new fax, models, tv bits to talk about?
  16. This marginality is **** me off It was supposed to be colder this weekend!
  17. Over the past week we've had a lot of marginality, does anyone know when the colder upper temps are going to come across? I thought it was going to be this weekend!
  18. So let me get this straight, we are talking about an easterly poss mid month and not the one that may turn ne/e next week?
  19. Remember though, it only takes atleast 24hrs of an easterly to cause chaos, hell it can just be an overnight affair and cause chaos! However let's just hope the models don't further sink that high pressure any further south
