Another spotty shower just North of belper looks to be heading towards Chesterfield. Will this one grow or fade away? Currently looks like its growing.

Small shower near hunstanton at 11am. Let's see if anything develops.

Woke to very wintry scenes. Think the sledge will be dusted off again. 3rd time already this March!
No bus services in the area with 3-4 inches widely and drifts blowing into feet of snow in places.
-
Are there any webcams for ny moors? The area has been covered with heavy snow showers all day. Must be quite a covering by now.

Around an inch on the grass now. The snow has blown off most hard surfaces so it doesnt appear as impressive on roads and pavements.
-
About 1cm now, plus already mini drifts of 2-3 inches.
Hopefully more on the way.... The big lump near Castleford has my name on it.
-
Roads now covering rapidly here. Snow isn't heavy but we are under a persistent band which had made the difference.
-
Persistent moderate snow now with temp down to -2.5c. Grass, cars, roof all covered nicely. Still not settling properly on roads though. Visibility very poor in strong gusty winds.
-
Really heavy shower. Snow covering all surfaces and blowing everywhere in strong winds. Temp down to -2c

Heavy snow and gusty winds here now. Again, this shower came through hornsea on the way to west yorkshire. Looks like lots more to come!
-
Looking on the radar there is quite a bit of snow on the way for most of West Yorkshire. The best time of day too when it should start settling.
-
Met office app now showing heavy snow for me from 8pm to 4am. I'll take it with a pinch of salt but it's the most it has shown so far this cold spell.

The showers appear to be moving more east to west now, just ever so slightly. Been a lovely sunny day here. No snow since mid morning.
-
Lovely cold crisp sunny day in Leeds. Bitter in the wind.
Radar not looking too good for much of West Yorks at the moment. South York's looks the place to be!

North Easterner here!
Travelling to Manchester this morning from Durham. Any of you guys with more local knowledge (and seeing what the snow is like) any sense of whether the A1 and M62 should be OK until around 12?
M62 looks ok now. Heavy showers are expected later today so there may be issues mid afternoon.

Blooming hell how accurate is that radar does anyone know?
It's a live picture so represents what is actually there. The app is a Europe wide radar so allows you can see out into North sea.

Moderate snow now, although still tiny icy flakes. Grass starting to cover although roads still clear.

Just started spitting here. Looks like higher up in pennines will get quite bit this evening.

1st rule of snow, never ever expect anything! Anything that does fall is a bonus!
It does look promising this weekend though.
