We had a frost on the grass this morning.
After that it was a decent day for the most part. Managed to get out at lunchtime to finish my post holes in time for the timber arriving on Thursday.
Going to be a wet walk tomorrow morning.
Cracking morning.
Had the Flood alert email and call for Cranborne Chase yesterday. The river is noticeably higher now and the meadows are starting to flood, but we're hopefully going to dry out a bit this week. Wednesday excluded.
Nice day today. Planted 200 crocus in the grass and dug half of the post holes for the new fence.
Turned the bonfire in first thing. It was still going.
Back out on bonfire duty from 10am. Lots more rain overnight, but the front has moved through, so it should just be showers, albeit heavy ones after that.
Not normally on my head. OH calls me the princess and the pea.
I'll be joining you soon jy, when I've finished my horticulture course.
Will ask my tutor about planting rice tomorrow.
Wasn't too wet walking, but the traffic on The Borough in Downton was stacked due to the road flooding from the overnight rain.
Wind has picked up a bit from the calm first thing.
