Heavy rain has arrived. No sparks. Looks like a bit of a squall line heading in from the West. -

Lopped the tops off between calls and we're done.

Got all the fence rails on, but the rain has arrived so didn't have time to lop the post tops off. Really annoying.

Cracking day today. Was sparkling earlier. Got all the fence posts in today. Rails tomorrow, if the rain stays away for long enough.

There's going to be a lot of wet people down here this morning if they follow the met app. Looks like the end of the world out to the West.

We had a frost on the grass this morning. After that it was a decent day for the most part. Managed to get out at lunchtime to finish my post holes in time for the timber arriving on Thursday. Going to be a wet walk tomorrow morning.

Cracking morning. Had the Flood alert email and call for Cranborne Chase yesterday. The river is noticeably higher now and the meadows are starting to flood, but we're hopefully going to dry out a bit this week. Wednesday excluded.

Nice day today. Planted 200 crocus in the grass and dug half of the post holes for the new fence. Turned the bonfire in first thing. It was still going.

Back out on bonfire duty from 10am. Lots more rain overnight, but the front has moved through, so it should just be showers, albeit heavy ones after that.

Wind has picked up now. The unusual direction might see off our knackered fence and gate.

Wasn't too wet walking, but the traffic on The Borough in Downton was stacked due to the road flooding from the overnight rain. Wind has picked up a bit from the calm first thing.
