  1. Do it. Then you can let us know. Do you compost your chicken cr*p? Snap dragons are one of my first garden memories too. Probably are for a lot of people. Bucket + water + chopped nettles. Let it stew for a few weeks until it stinks, then use as a 10-1 concentrate. Haven't tried it yet though.
  2. Usually something cheap from one of the discount stores, like seaweed feed from Poundland. I'll try my own nettle concentrate next year, when I get sorted. Here's the OH's snap dragons, petunias and nemesia for the summer.
  3. Nutrients in compost will only last a few weeks, so yeah you'll need to feed annuals once a week, once they start flowering. Dahlias are our go to plants for cutting, as they'll keep producing from now until the first frost. They will store over winter, but to we've struggled with that. Sweet peas are great in containers, if you create a cane wigwam to support them. Again, they need feeding a lot. My best sweet peas are grown from seed in September for the next year. That way they get a head start and always seem stronger for it. Forgot last year though. Ask jy when he's about. He's the expert.
  4. Will do. Yeah, we get bindweed. Ground elder is the real swine here though. Have you tried planting up some pots? As long as you keep them fed and watered, you'll be fine.
  5. Feels like it. Found an Oxo bottle from the 40s/50s. Checked on eBay...only worth £6, so cleaned it up and put some sweet peas in it.
  6. @Andy Bown Looks pretty breezy down there once the front goes through on Saturday. Have you checked out the fax chart? I'm keen to get down to Poole early on Saturday, but we'll decide on Friday. Annoyingly, Friday looks a beauty.
  7. Some wet Poole Harbour Ospreys getting wet and fed, at the moment. Osprey Webcam - Birds of Poole Harbour WWW.BIRDSOFPOOLEHARBOUR.CO.UK Carey Osprey Nest Cameras During the winter of 2019-2020, we hosted a fundraiser for an Osprey nest live-stream...
  8. Proper heavy rain now, after on and off showers so far today. Both water butts are topping up nicely.
  9. We were going to get caught by that shower, so went for a coffee underneath your webcam. Down in Fawley now where it's cloudy and breezy.
  10. It's been steady rain here since teatime, after on and off drizzle all day. First evening that we haven't sat out in Christ knows how long. Even had to watch something called the telly? It's rubbish, won't catch on.
  11. Yep, was just about to say the same. Dig, dig. Should be on the golden sands, or at least walking by them, early doors tomorrow, all being well.
