  1. ArE the charts showing a heatwave at the moment?
  2. When people going start adding there predictions, we are weeks away from the start of fall and winter 08/09. Iam changing mine to above average rainfall and average to below average temputures. I expect it to be the coldest of many years.
  3. theres is about 6 weeks left of "summer" because i just started my summer holidays and usualy after my 6 week break is finished the weather starts going down hill.
  4. soo? the temputures are droping in the British Isles and N.Europe last 2 years as you can see with our current July where the CET is a very low 54f. But right across the world they are continueing to rise and globably the CET is very high.
  5. lol shame we couldnt get this>>> taken in upper NY state and Vermont, USA Febuary 08 never seen so much snow it was brilliant lol looking forward to the time im in Canada.
  6. At the moment if this carried on were looking at a cold winter ahead of us. Its middle of June and last night it droped down to 2*c in this rural part!
  7. Its been very bad and is continueing to rain across Glamorgan, South Wales where there is still servre weather warnings for certain areas. Tommorow looks like there could be headline news as thundestorms and heavy rain are expected to continue. Rivers and streams high in my area and might flood, last time we had a thunderstorm it was like a river coming down the mountain down the main road going into people houses.
  8. As i said yes i know its a long time to go but the MetO are soon to release infomation about the winter and as i said it will be intresting to see what people think will happen its only predictions, yes we know nothing yet but its just a bit of fun with people placing there predicitons.

  10. Heavy snow in Cardiff and Rhondda Cynon Taff. Had very heavy snow not so long accumlations of 4cm here at 150meters. Metoffice radar shows very heavy preciptation we just had moving over SW England. Showers across wales are increasing in intenstiy. Lower levels in Cardiff area had hail teh size of 10pence. I will upload pictures later.
  11. What!!!! The band of snow or sleet is other the SE of Wales!
  12. Will i have snow in the early hours of sunday, i am 200meters up and in a rural part just north of the city of Cardiff, in Cardiff county area. The BBC shows snow over south wales in the morning but how meny times this winter have we been promised snow, all i ve had this year is 1cm. Very disapointing, luckly i went to upper NY state and vermont in america for 2 weeks in febuary and we had plenty (2ft plus) otherwise i would of saw nothing!
  13. Summer is not long now and i thought we could predict what the highest temputure will be this year. For me its 36.8c in Central London some time in July.
  14. o..k.. wahs up with this thats nothing, i ve jst come back from New England in Vermont and they had 3ft of fresh snow on weds! haha it was lush lol, that made it lke 6ft of snow:P
  15. Sky is increasing in darkness forcasters forcasting snow in Cardiff around 3 o'clock bringing 2-4cm better than nothing but nothing much on radar though looks like its just beginging to snow now.

  18. Several weather sites are forcasting the first significant cold snap of the season next week. Sleet and Snow even at lower areas in the North & West
  19. i dont know how this Country will put up with a bad winter in Feb they closed Cardiff Airport, The M4 between Cardiff and Swansea, The A470(Connects Cardiff, Swansea, Newport to the rest of Wales Main North to South Road), Train Services where cancled, after just 5 to 20cm of Snow in the South Wales area and over 100 schools in Cardiff alone where closed!(gd for me) and we had to go all the way round the Brecon Beacons becasue we where stuck in Brecon and couldnt use the A470 we had to go trew the midlands toke hours!
  20. my predictions for South Wales lowland(Cardiff, Swansea, Newport, Valleys) september - dry and warm 14.9c october - wet and windy, gales, flooding (classic welsh weather) and then Cold and frosty after the 25th 12.5c November - Frosty Cold Sunny, Blizzards around the 13th-17th in Welsh Valleys(Rhondda Cynon Taff, Caerphilly well anywhere above 130meters), wet snow in cities especialy Cardiff and Newport, then cold and frosty with high pressure then another cold snap with snow from the NW around 29th 6.9c
  21. looked outside at my plants today (theyve been waterd ect) and there starting to change couler! and also are the sorounding trees around us i may take photos later (current temp 21.5c on my weather station in my garden) (a photo back in spring which looked like it was going to be a very warm summer god that was wrong)
  22. thanks yep i am off to canada to live family are moving over there and then i am planning to study Metrology in Toronto i am very intrested in the weather scence i been very little now and enjoy studying and reading about it very much, i did read it all but it alot to take in all in one go lol anyway thanks again Richard , Cardiff, Mid Glamorgan, Wales ANOTHER picuture of Wales Countryside for you (Brecon Beacons by family)
  23. hey! umm i am saying 13.8c to 14.2c with it being cooler than the last few years with the cooling trend and i think its going to be a colder winter than average
  24. what are you on about then???? you started this whole thing off but surely there is a possibilty becasue it has been a below average summer and in Cardiff it didnt even reach 30c never mind the surrounding areas. what about those things on page 1 showing november to be cold across europe anyway i aint too botherd me iam moving 15 MILES outside Toronto, Canada in a few years so and i am going to have it done but it would be nice to see it in this country, hopefully we will? but whats happend scence those graphs on page 1 please tell me but not all this scitentific stuff i am only 13 thanks
