    Met office have Newcastle down for heavy snow at 1800. Are we expecting snow showers coming off the North Sea overnight?

    This is beautiful, lovely flakes , lying everywhere. So is this band supposed to stall over the NE hence the amber warnings?

    I'll believe the met office on this one, they are not going to put out an amber warning out if they weren't sure that there will be lying snow in the North East tomorrow.

    Current shower has a little bit of sleet mixed in. Can't really tell until I look on my velux window and see some slightly formed drops. .

    What chance of this snow delaying flights tomorrow? I fly from Newcastle airport to Paris at 11:50 for Newcastle United's away game in Bordeaux .

    The thunderstorm in Newcastle earlier was quite spectacular, we are definitely a hotspot for it this summer.

    Has that sticky feeling in the North East despite it being cool and damp. Very much similar conditions to the Great Newcastle storm.

    Great 2 storms here in Newcastle. Had some rotation in the clouds and an unconfirmed tornado in cowgate about a mile way.
