Just been a walk along the canal near us and it's frozen all the way along with an inch of snow on the top, but worryingly, there is also a set of footprints adult ones at that, all along the middle of it for about a mile!!!

Yes had the same in Tamworth! Adults footprints on the canal! You couldn't make it up!

Had 3 moderate snow showers this morning! Giving us a nice top up.

But spare a thought for those profoundly (and potentially very dangerously) affected by this prolonged cold snap - not solely elderly and otherwise vulnerable people, but average 'folks' trying to earn a living / run a business / travel. Can we lower the 'yahoo' volume about this - and remember (and respect) that for many people, it's anything but 'fun' and potentially lethal.
Fair point but the same can be said of really warm spells and very windy weather. Each type of weather has its dangers but it doesnt't mean it is wrong to enjoy it.

Thankfully the Baggies match is still on tomorrow night, but I will probably freeze to death!
Villa game still on at Wigan at the moment. Most of the lower divison games are all off.

One of the the only negatives of the cold spell is that loads of football matches keep getting postponed. The weekend fixtures are already decimated. Still cant have everything!

There is a new weather warning for Staffordshire, Telford and Shropshire for snow showers. It was issued at 21:50!

Stopped here now but I am really pleased with the 2 inches I have! Although my wife wanted 6 or 7!

Just had another light snow shower here. That is 9 now for today, 3 of which have been moderate/heavy! Cannot complain!
