    COLD COLD COLD COLD COLD No question about it!!! always prefer winter, even those 5C cloudy grey days i much prefer to summer.Its been said already that its easier to warm up in winter than to cool down in summer and i agree, I much prefer having extra blankets in bed in winter than been all sweaty and not able to sleep in summer.I much prefer walking on frozen or snowy ground than walking in sticky weather with High humidity and high temps! And best of all in winter you get SNOW SNOW SNOW!!! SP

    In Dublin the 29th of November was colder than the 30th,it had the 3rd coldest max of the winter with a temp of just 1.4C,only beaten by the 5th of Feb (1.0C) and the 7th of Feb (1.3C),both of which had snowcover,the 29th of November did not. An interesting fact anyway. SNOWPLOUGH 

    One thing I feel could happen this summer is that the temperature won't reach 30C anywhere in the UK or Ireland,when was the last time this happened? I think this summer will be cool,perhaps cold,but very sunny and possibly dry at the same time,high-pressure dominated.This is just a pure guess. Also with such a long solar minimum maybe a cold winter to follow. SP
