it was icy this morning & its turning frosty outside now, hope to see some of the other white stuff fall from the sky after xmas if the models keep showing what they have in the last few days, we could all do with some xmas cheer, happy xmas

1st day of winter & the hunt for cold/snow begins again We had a frost this morning - that's a start will it snow this week? possibly I think high ground only, but you never know I'll still be lamp post watching fingers crossed

start of the winter officially on Sunday, hopefully going to be better than last years poor showing, canny frosty outside as I post this, had quite a few mornings so far this November when I've scraped ice of the car, hopefully signs of a decent winter ahead bring it on

took the missus out for a early meal tonight, just got in from Gosforth in a taxi and the roads are treacherous - take care if your out driving nice covering here in West moor & the radar looks good for another dollop

back from a short break in Jersey earlier - even though it was warm there, it felt good to arrive back in the warmth of the toon - and England into the next round - its coming home

turning into a very nice summer so far after a very interesting winter - like it. now if England could only go and win the world cup mmmmmm!!!!!! - now that would be a good summer

just back from a short stay in Faro (Portugal) weather was lush - burnt bonce(happens every time) come back to a weather warning for snow on Monday - nice

a few flakes still falling here, had a couple of heavier showers earlier this morning - judging by the radar and the forecast this could well be the last day of falling snow this season, (unless the Easter cold blast occurs) - its been a much better winter for us coldies compared to the previous few years hope winter 2018/19 is as good if not better than 2017/18 - hopefully with a nice warm summer in between
