    yeah just seen that forecast 'with a vengence in the n.e' hope it come true, all this precipitation in the north sea just seems to keep fading as it approaches land.

    chucking it down in byker, I watched last nights snow happen after midnight, quite similar to whats happening now, snow is forecast everyday 4 ne england until at least saturday!

    still light to moderate snow in byker added to the cover maybe a cm or 2 so far, that lot in northumberland looks like some sort of streamer?

    moderate snow in byker for last 10/15mins been dry since this morning, mostly sunny, however hardly any snowmelt, bbc news weather forecast stated that some parts of the north east could get another 10 to 15cms tonight.

    moderate to heavy snow last 1/2 hr in byker, that big hole in radar seems to have filled with precipitation,starting to look a winter wonderland outside just looked out front window getting heavier, theres a first for me theres a fox sniffing a snowman seriously

    I glad the wife did.nt see that bit enjoying the day had a few games of call of duty on xbox few beers watched funny film had a chinese takaway snow watching anticipation of the snow week ahead lifes good s**t i'm back to work on monday cheers gazza

    light snow in byker at the moment ,had look out back garden its bitter out there,looked out front all melt patches have now got a dusting, sometimes these situations can be good for us low lying areas, will find out in morning cheers gazza ps just watched a hilarious film called anchorman snow heavier now

    just a point of interest I started to subscribe to the 5min netweather radar yesterday and have been quite impressed its only about £4.00 a month worth getting if you're a radar watcher like me.

    the whole flow seems to be drifting south & there is a metoffice warning out for ne england for the rest of night, so u never know, best chances of seeing something good for the cities up here looks like tu,we,th and beyond, the north sea gets progressivelly colder as the winter drags on so if the predictions for next week come true we should all be happy cheers gazza

    just looked in back garden all the slush etc has now frozen, I live in byker quite close to river so very low lying ,had a small hail shower 15 mins ago, netweather radar showing some promising looking stuff starting to show out to sea just come into radars range - theres hope yet

    clear skys starting to show in byker the slush & remaining snow is starting to freeze, a good sign if the snow shower warnings actually happen. it was a disappointing day periods of rain sleet and snow with melting occuring, lets hope the warnings for tu,we, come true, cheers gazza DISAPPOINTING FOR LOW LEVEL AREAS BUT OBVIOUSLY NOT FOR HIGHER GROUND IE CONSETT ETC
