Snow pics Wolsingham/Tunstall Reservoir at 14-00 today.Wanted to go up the Dale tops but too dangerous at the time.............and had to make sure we got back for the kids from school.[attach ment=54453:IMG_0363_1.JPG]

snow photos in a bit.Roads treacherous heading towards higher routes an hour ago bur gritters and slight thaw have improved the situation.............slight snowfall now but 3ins+ lying

Facinating reading aj mate.Did you get any further with the synopicts?What would the track of such a monster be as from what I gathered it would be dependant upon where on Earth it originated?Let's say it formed in the Pacific off Japan(arguements sake only)Could it cross the globe or travel long distances inland?

I have 7 chilren so do I suppose have a pro-life take on things and was interested in how we treat what is in fact a human being in whatever form.............You post items that I have found dreadfuly dull but I don't go out of my way to tell you

Read an item today stating that the Human Fertilisation and Embroyology Authority gave permission after consultations showed the public were at ease with the prospect of creating human-animal embyos for the furtherment of medical research.Surely it raises moral,religious,ethical- lists more issues?I'm not sure I am at ease with the prospect and that surprised me as I am normaly fairly easy going.....who were this 'public' that forwarded the thumbs up?

It had to be 1979 then.......thankyou very much for that T W S great weather but never hear much about the 70's weather as it seems to be often overshadowed by the 80's -
Local beeb forecast just been on....tomorrow heavy rain with hill snow,shame they didn't indicate to what level.

Now that is also an excellent programme.....I had no illusions archaeology was glamourous however as we have visited Vindolanda often in the past and usualy saw some poor sod scratching his bum up to his knees in mud being harrassed by flies :lol:

A most enlightening and somewhat surprising peek behind the scenes.In the job I do I get to see behind the scenes of local news and the filming of historical dramas............that's showbiz as they say!Rather a let down :lol:

I was chatting to my mother the other day and remembered when she owned a flat in South Shields,I remember icicles as thick as your arm hanging from two storeys up to the ground.My memory of it was that is was 1979 but can't remember for certain,it would've been a rare event for that location though with the areas proximity to the coast. -
Tunstall res' half a mile away seems full...then again we rarely lack rain here The water quality's excellent too it must be said.

Occasional showers 100% overcast,5c here NW Durham but noticed a 3 degree c rise in the Chester- Le -St E Durham while there today
