00-30AM- 07/01/08 I watched temp's fluctuate rapidly tonight and wondered why there were no thunder storms.What is the understood pattern to expect for them to occur?

I just wish i'd made more of the 80's winters.But I suppose nobody knew about this ongoing temporary blip back then. -
Gray-Wolf you alway make a salient and eloquent,reasoned point and I very much enjoy reading your post.I do feel however you can be a bit dismal about our future but tease us with the odd glimmer of hope.I have kids................what would you say to them to change their future if you could?

Maybe in the far far distant future when our understanding of these things is absolute.Untill then we would undoubtably do more harm than good I fear. As an answer however I forward the theory of something simple such as high level dust particle releases to lower light levels Make it cold

I have probably been watching too many documentarys but they seem to have been filled with doom and gloom,everything from supervolcanoes to ele comets/asteriods,magnetic pole reversals,GW,big freeze and super viruses etc.They all seem to state that whichever disaster is their pet is now 'X' ammount of millions/thousands/tens of years overdue!Is this to create funding, attention, mischief or genuine concern for our futures?

They do talk about this period being a very warm and arrid time though dont they?more like a super continental effect.
