Now that was the best forecast I've seen in years!!!

Now I do realise it's very possible but have I misinterpreted the forecast as I thought the main event wasn't till later.......?

How much have you got?
I've not bothered measuring my 'cover' given that its a mere frost compared to places in the south-east.
Just been out to check lol.......about 4-5 ins,however rather worryingly despite continued light/moderate snowfall there was melting near the house.....I do hope it's just my loft insulation's not up to standard rather than temp rises

If we do get any significant stalling on the NE flank of this low; then I reckon it could well turn back to snow for lower areas from late morning tommorow. Albeit that looks likely to be the case for areas of Northumberland rather than further south...but we'll see.
Borderline now with periods of rain, sleet and snow here. Very light, and we need some more moderate pulses to move in to help lower the freezing level a bit. Its looking best for places like Weardale and Teesdale than over here; just too close to the coast and sleety.
Yup we're doing nicely here....the snows light at the moment but has been ongoing for a while now

Just got back from Otley and reading the last couple of pages I'm wondering whether I'm in a different snowiverse to everyone else. I only JUST got through from Headingly because of the heavy snow. The roads are barely open. Truely dreadful conditions.
yup similar here the cars are down to a crawl

my footprints on the path from about an hour ago are almost covered......let's not give up hope yet as it's still snowing merrily here atm

Trust me it ain't good lol. You know you have a good chance of getting a pasting from those showers soon, people in South East are seeing the best snow event of their lives some of them... and here theres a 0.5cm dusting. Terrible terrible stuff.
10cm tomorrow? According to the GFS precip type forecast it will start off as snow then turn to sleet and rain on the back edge, what an event!
Ah well you choose to live in the tropics lol

Well, here comes the biggest moaner of the night.
So lets take a look at the radar... Big stuff heading into East Yorkshire, fantastic for people up that way. Big stuff been hammering London area for about 250 hours, feels that way anyway... and then inbetween what do you have? Nothingness, we have a 0.5cm frozen dusting and North of us is about to get pasted, South of us has been getting pasted for hours with 3-5 inches and probably another 2-3 inches to come and I am absolutely GUTTED.
The West midlands has a chance of fun...don't despair just yet

Nothing impressive here so far.
Mostly just sporadic convection ebbing through at the moment across the region; with the odd heavy cell. More organised bands probably expected later but for all my luck I'll be either too far north, south, east or west LOL.
Turn your Durham city snow force field off mate......I feel looking at the radar you will be in luck..I'll be challenging you to a snowball duel in the morn'.....6am at the Angel lol

Probably hiding in a cave somewhere in the Teesdale wilds.
Well i'm guarding my Dales cave so he'll have to find his own.......the snow's eased here for the moment but that was an impressive shower!

Showers should get going more readily in our region from about midnight onwards; as the mesoscale trough gradually edges in.
Very minute dusting out there at the moment.
