My only concern would be if the Easterly Wind picks up as they come in are they not going to get shifted further inland?????

Missed out on anything heavy last night but got about another 1 cm Very dry snow and easy to get of the car and no frost underneath Got in to work in Leeds at 8.50am and it still showed -6 on the car..............

Looking out the window at work in Leeds that cloud and snow looks so close!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I now know what they mean by localised snow showers after last night Normanton WF6 had up to 5cms in just over 2 hours Normanton is approx ESE from Leeds Pontefract centre about 3 miles to our NE had nothing Leeds near Elland Road where I am working today has had nothing Now I understand the likes of JH when he says it is difficult to know where this stuff will fall....

At last we have hit 6" We have had a total of 5cms of new snow this evening from those showers missing Leeds

Had another decent shower in the last hour Got home at 6 at it has been on and off since then more on... up to another 4-5 cms I am just south east of Leeds and seem to be getting a good run...................

Cheers If you get the same shower well over 2 hours now................... Sorry just spoke to the wife started at 6 not 5.30 and has just stopped 7.50 possibly another 2-3 cms

Must have what we still have this a great shower just under 2 hours and still coming down pretty steady.... On another matter does anybody have a link to down size pictures to put on here as I have quite a few now and am waiting for it to stop to go out with the ruler.. Took some pictures of this and want to prove the latest in WF6..............

Terrible getting home from Leeds tonight, car showed minus 2 to minus 4 in different parts and the main roads were freezing over Motorway quiet Off at Normanton at about 6pm and it started snowing and still is as I type. All main roads completely covered and side roads are terrible I am a sales Rep and have never drove in conditions like this for 17 years and tomorrow will be another day of oh so slow driving until you get to the motorway......... I would say with this snow and other showers today we will be pushing five and a half inch........... Ian Now 7.15pm still snowing and quite heavy............ Now 8.00pm stopped snowing about 10 minutes ago..........2-3cms of the fresh stuff

Yes we have done very well today all snow removed on the drive is now fully covered and I will stick with my ruler at FOUR AND A HALF INCH....................... WF6

Measured around 4" to 5" in different parts of the garden Road is horrible and had to get 2 neighbours to push me up the drive. Have had another shower which has covered what I have shifted so all in all a very good day for Normy............

Being asked if we want to go home from work early!!!!!!!!! Don't want the 13 miles to turn into 2 hours again like this morning My 5 year old has been out sledging all afternoon but can't wait for me to build a snowman in the garden. Excellent weather today even though it does slow everything down.......

Hi John Where abouts in Normanton are you, we live on the new estate near the bypass and the wife says it has been non stop Kids are lucky, no school and are sledging probably in Normy Park.... Ian
