Snowbound and cut off with 3m drifts!

Moderate snow falling and being blown about. 18cm now fell today with some impressive drifts growing to around 1m

moderate snow still coming down, 18cm now with drifts up to 1m Saturday is looking very interesting. Will try and get pics later if I can get down to my parents to get the camera.

Yeah it looks likely at the moment, cold air will stick around above a line from Bristol to London. Anwhere north of a line from North Wales to the Humber could see wintry showers friday night with the cold air digging in further south through into Saturday bringing the snow risk down into South Wales, Midlands with it settling on higher ground. Saturday looks very interesting for Scotland and the Northeast. Can see the Grampians and Northern Pennines getting a pasting. -

11cm's of snow here with 50cm drifts, lying ontop of a couple of cm's of frozen Ice and Snow from a couple of days ago. All schools still open and everyone doing their best to get to work as usual. Amazes me that a few cm's can bring the Midlands and the South so much chaos. -
Heavy to moderate snow now, almost horizontal from a strong easterly wind. 11cm deep with drifts up to 50cm forming.

Flakes are about 1cm is size. getting blown about everywhere. Seems to be easing a little in the past 10 minutes. This snow is lying on top of the other days snow and two days of frost. Loads of Ice formed here last night before the snow came. Just hoping the mountains do their work and intensify the snow now and stall it.

-3.6 °C here reached -6.9 °C last night and it was -2.3 °C this time last night. I think it might get near -10°C tonight. Snow that fell last night didn't melt much at all today, only bits that were in the full sun all day. Dartmoor looks like its having a bit of snow at the moment.

Got a couple of cms from overnight snowfall here, Clwydians have a fair bit on, looks like a couple of inches over 500m

Heavy wet snow been falling for a couple of hours now, slushy on the lane but sticking to grass. About 0.5cm on the grass and cars. Just need the temperature to drop a little more, currently 0.7C

Very heavy Sleet here turning increasingly to Snow, temp dropped to 2.2C

No just Sleet here, it turned to wet Snow last night in the larger showers, been out for a walk on the Clwydians and its Sleet right up to 500m were it turns to wet Snow, nothing sticking up there though even on the top of Moel Famau The Berwyns have a dusting above 600m
