Heavy showers for most of the day in the lake district but also some warm sunshine, thunder, lightning and hail made for an interesting descent from Scafell late afternoon -

Away climbing in the northern lake district for a week or two although not much done yet due to hill fog and persistent drizzle cloud/fog covering all the tops -
Very heavy rain since I woke at 06:00 rain guage currently showing 17.0mm in last 24 hours and 7.2mm in the last hour Pressure 986.7 !!!!!!!! Temp 12.9c oh and it's August
