  2. Whatever happened to Crazy Snowfan? Did he put in an appearance this winter?
  3. Probably 3cms here reef. Let's hope for a frost. It's currently minus 15C 5F in Los Glascanoch.
  4. I think you should move to a colder location, reef. This afternoon we went for a drive this afternoon through Walkington. As we got to the other side all the fields still had a decent covering of snow. We continued to High Hunsley on the B1230 and then took a right turn towards North Newbald then we took a left turn down a single track lane called Whin Lane. As soon as we turned down we realised that it might not have been the smartest idea. Drifts, ice and a steepish hill. Luckily we managed to negotiate a 9-point turn and came back to the safety of the main road. We decided after this that a brisk walk on the Westwood would be a good idea. I was surprised by just how hard/frozen the ground was. It's currently snowing lightly here and there is a covering on the cars. gobbyash
  5. We've still got lying snow from earlier in the week but todays event brought rain although I can see that the Wolds to my West are covered. I've been to Driffield this morning and they have not got any snow either - which IS surprising. Oh well. gobby
  6. Looking good for Saturday http://www.netweather.tv/index.cgi?action=...;sess=#forecast

  9. I would be interested to know if HurricaneAndrew is still as confident as he was earlier today for snow for East Yorkshire? gobby
  10. Yes, I saw this - it showed snow from 6am to 1pm - a period of 7 hours of snow however I have also read on here that it is best to listen to what they say and not what they show. It's good that HurricaneAndrew is feeling more positive about the upcoming weather 'cos he was a right royal pain in the I have a problem the other day - even though he was right for about the weather. Sometimes, you just can't win when you are the bearer of bad news!! gobby
  11. I'm moving to Saddleworth http://www.netweather.tv/forum/index.php?s...p;#entry1456928 gobby
  12. Waiting for the kids to get sent home from school. Would look very strange for a 30 something sledging with a load of kids!! gobby
  13. Measured 4.5 inches on the table in the back garden - so reckon we must be nearly up to 12 cms at the moment with the chance of this doubling by tomorrow morning. gobby
