The dividing line between cold and milder air could well be to the north of Glasgow in such a set up. It can also move south and north pretty readily so there's not too much point in getting too invested at this stage.
That's not Svalbard, that's Franz Joseph Land and Novaya Zemlya.
Not to be pedantic, just that these islands rarely come up in conversation and I feel this is their moment.
Svalbard is at a tropical -16°C there.
Showers now being generated out in the Moray Firth and coming this way. A NErly can really deliver in this area but with these upper air temps it's a risky business. -3°C currently and still all white.
