We have another 2 months of winter yet be patient
I cant, im cracking up, haha

Looks like we are going to miss out on that band heading down the north sea coast, slipping away to quickly South Eastwards, oh well getting use to these boring winters now

-
That small band has arrived here in Barling, with a tiny bit of sleet in
-
So at the moment are we going for a colder week with a chance of some of that wet snow that wont settle on Thursday and then turning milder next week? or something a little more exciting
-
I do wonder if some people in the model thread want to get a job at the Daily Express at times going on charts that are sometimes in 2 weeks time and believing what they are seeing will happen, when will some people ever learn....lol, seems the charts are now falling into line with what the meto have been predicting, we will just have to make the most of what we can get out of this shortish cold spell

I only lasted 5mins in the Model Thread, some people getting carried away talking of particular fronts, troughs, snow etc coming in on dates like 21st, 22nd 23rd January ..... thats over 2 weeks away !!! haha....be lucky if the models stay the same by this weekend let alone then, lol

Just had a 5 minute sleety shower here, heard it on the window then saw in the lampos, that might be it for me this winter, lol

Storm Barney!
Issued at:

West to southwesterly gales and locally severe gales are likely to sweep eastwards across parts of Wales, southern, central and eastern England later on Tuesday. Gusts could reach 60-70 mph inland and possibly 80 mph along exposed coasts, particularly Wales and through the Bristol Channel.Be aware of the risk of disruption to travel and that gusts of this strength could bring down trees and lead to some damage to weakened structures. A deepening area of low pressure is likely to track east across southern Ireland and then central parts of the UK during Tuesday afternoon and evening, with a swathe of very strong winds potentially developing on the southern flank of the low. At this stage, the worst of the winds are expected to reach West Wales mid to late afternoon, sweeping rapidly eastwards during the evening. There remains a good deal of uncertainty in this evolution and particularly the location of the strongest winds, so this Warning will be kept under review and updated as necessary.

Just went outside and saw several distant flashes of lightening across the water, and as I type a rumble of thunder
-
Just a boring cloudy day here so far in Barling
-
Few distant rumbles about 30mins ago, since then just very heavy rain, gardens need it
-
Raining now here in Barling, no sign of any thunder and lightening though
-
Proper heavy rain here for over an hour, few distant flashes and rumbles of thunder, and as usual the roads flooding instantly, lol suns out now but looking for round 2 later this afternoon
-
The storm out to my south east over the water is consent flashing (crazy one I reckon), also have flashing from the south west too
-
Can see lightening in the clouds to my south as i look across the farmers land
-
That's what I'm thinking, since they put us all on the meter it's costing me loading keeping the garden looking nice, got no suitable area for a waterbutt but even my mate who's got one said his been dry for bit
I know what you mean, costing me a fortune too, haha
-
Breeze has really got up here the past hour or so, heres hoping for something later, at least some rain if nothing else for the gardens, lol
-
Gutted to hear about Chris Mantle, had the pleasure of corresponding with him on here with over the past 2 or so years.. R.I.P my weather friend
