The moment when you login and see 245 members in the model output room, you know something is happening

Should ban models after 144 as they never come off and so many people get sucked in by it, lol

Plenty of flashes and distant rumbles of thunder to my north currently....Chelmsford area must be having fun
-
Had one shower here, was a mixed of rain, sleet and wet snow, does anyone know if the wind is supposed to come from more a north easterly later?

Just been in the model forum and once again there are some members going on about snow potential in 144 haha, do they do it on purpose or do they like to punish themselves, probably be saying the same thing in June and July, lol..... basically frosty here this morning

A quick google search of your location puts you almost on the sea!
Of course, for you... It might not given that SSTs have a huge impact on the weather so close to the sea.. But for others inland (like most the region) it sure will feel A LOT colder.. Including yourself, although as you stated for your location it won't feel as cold.
5/7 degrees by day is a bit of a contrast to the 15 degrees that was recorded over the weekend in some locations!
So.. Looking at the charts..
Forst tonight? Yes for western parts of the region and higher ground (away from coasts and the far south)
Tuesday - wide spread frost
Wednesday - wide spread frost
Thursday - wide spread frost
Friday - wide spread frost
Saturday - frost away from coasts and the far south east
Sunday - frost away from coasts and the far south east
This is the p problem for our little Island.. While you "only" live the other side of London (although outside the M25) the weather could be far different to where I am.. The lowest temp for instances I have recorded this winter so far is -7. How about you?
We've had a - 6 in Barling last week which is only seveal miles from Shoeburyness but slightly more inland if that helps, lol

You know it @Surrey! Think i may steer clear of the thread on Monday night after last week's shenanigans....watch with interest from a distance! LOL!
I just went into the model room and saw people going on about great charts on March 1st !! 8- 10 days ahead again, when will they learn, haha

@Essexgooner and @alexisj9my last post wasn't directed at you, just a general note of advice for speed readers that may only see "ECM boom" and "MOD thread going mental"!
No my friend, exactly why I said I will wait a bit longer, haha , but as you say will be interesting to watch as usual

Model thread is going mental over the latest charts, lol, I think I will wait a bit longer to see how it pans out, been let down so many times, saying that lets hope it goes our way for once before Spring gets here

A few spots of drizzle here, as like most people not expecting anything other then rain

Doesnt seem to be so much coming off the water across Norfolk and Suffolk the last 30mins or so, will it pep up again or is that it? haha
Had a few sleety spots here but nothing else so far

Looks like the ppn is skirting me here in Southend. Typical. Still waiting for a flake...
Thats two of us then mate, haha

I see the model forum has gone into meltdown as they have fallen yet again for believing what the charts were churning out 5-7 days in advance, lol, when will they ever learn !

Other than wind & rain and lots of it certainly over the next week or so, "winter" looks just about dead to me. Not that it even got going of course. There isn't even a whiff of excitement in the long-range. Just more of the same. PV in over-drive, wind/rain/cool/rinse/repeat. Total and utter crap. Anyone else throwing the towel in?
Yeah, Ive already thrown it in, this weather is more depressing then being a Col U fan.........and thats bad as you know lol
