  1. Lovely sunny day until about an hour ago when the cloud encroached. View is NW at 19.15 BST. Forecast has changed from some dampness all day tomorrow to damp morning and then sunshine and showers. Who knows?
  2. Grey start, cleared quite quickly to a glorious late spring day. Peaked at 20.4°C early afternoon. Bank of cloud to NW spoiling what was looking to be a lovely sunset. Swannery was bathed in sun and blue skies mid morning, but the SE wind was noticeable. ETA, this is what sunset looked like.
  3. ...and there was me believing David Braine this morning and hoping to get my daisies cut this afternoon. No chance!
  4. Apart from a very light and short lived shower around 8 this morning, it's been dry, sunny and warm. Temperature reached 18.6°C, warmest day since 21st April.
  5. 26.1mm in the 24 hours to 09.00, only a few spits and spots since as the current arc of heavier rain is to the NW of us.
  6. A request.....I have a friend who lives between Chipping Campden and Broadway and is interested to know how much rain fell in the area from the system that went through on Saturday and Sunday. If anyone can provide a figure for me from that area, I would be very grateful.
  7. It's reached here too, knocker. 10.4mm rain overnight, temperature currently 13.1°C.
  8. Sunny start here and then the cloud bubbled up through the morning but it has stayed dry. Some interesting cloudscapes on my walk this morning.
  9. Not too many showers here today but the ones that have passed over have been pretty potent with hail mixed in a couple of them. Noticed definite drop in temperature each time it rained.
  10. 12.4mm rain to 09.00GMT, first significant rain since this time last month and first day over 10mm since mid February. Bang goes the driest April in my record!
  11. Frosty start here, but not an air frost. Clear blue skies until mid morning when the cumulus started to develop. As yet, still some blue between clouds, hoping it stays dry as the daisies could do with cutting!
  12. So far, these lines of showers have not had our name on. Long sunny spells and warm out of the wind.
  13. It's been exactly the same here, Andy. There's been a few spits and spots but nothing of any substance. Still feeling chilly in the breeze.
  14. Morning sunshine replaced by squally showers of soft hail and sleet, passing through quickly, but more still to come.
  15. Still on the warmer side of the cold front here with the current temperature just over 10°C, but not for much longer I guess.
  16. From a low of +0.2°C we've maxed out at an incredible 15.5°C. Less breezy and so feeling pleasantly warm in the sun this afternoon.
  17. Maxed out at exactly 21°C after a wall to wall sunshine day until the last half hour when things have gone hazy but the sun's still in evidence. Highest temp since 21st September last year. It seems to have been a long time.
  18. First day where the temp has gone over 15°C since November 9th. Granted, it was only just over, but thought it was worth mentioning! Clear blue skies for much of the afternoon.
  19. Is it unusual to see mammatus so widely spread? The photos today are truly spectacular.
  20. I got caught in that one coming out of Waitrose! Thought I was being clever going this afternoon instead of tomorrow morning....wrong!
  21. Still grey, murky and miserable here too. No fog or frost this morning but no hint of brightness either. I'm glad I'm not the only one who thought that the forecast was for better this afternoon. On the Spanish theme, my sister lives near Malaga and has texted to tell me that they've had one of the worst storms she can recall down there in nearly 40 years.
  22. -0.4°C here this morning, still some frost in the shaded back garden now, but, more surprisingly, frost on the grass along the coast path at Abbotsbury around 10 this morning.
