  1. Colourful all round end to the day. First is looking NE and the second at the actual sunset.
  2. Sunshine and thundery showers on and off all afternoon. Some of the heaviest rain bouncing off the roof of the summerhouse!
  3. 26.6mm to five minutes ago since 10.00 this morning. Sun's out now! Very shallow rainbow out over Sherborne as the squall line cleared.
  4. Torrential rain and thunderstorm here for last half hour. Stair rod rain.
  5. Blustery on the coast at Abbotsbury late morning, blew away a few cobwebs!
  6. 19.2mm to 10.00 this morning. Had to rescue the food bin and the black one once they'd been emptied as they were heading out of the close!
  7. Final total of 24mm from yesterday's system. Today is very blustery but dry with plenty of sunshine.
  8. 22mm from the system so far. Much of the afternoon and early evening have been drizzly but not contributing much to the total. Endless grey and gloom, only consolations.....it's warm and we are promised a sunny day tomorrow.
  9. Likewise here Evening thunder! It's done nothing more than light drizzle all day, only a few drops have penetrated the gauge. Temperature overnight was 18.1°C, got up to the dizzy heights of 18.6°C this afternoon.
  10. Lighter shade of grey atm, no rain since the little that came down overnight which contributed to the 10.8mm in the gauge this morning. Definitely feeling cooler, but with static air, it continues to feel humid.
  11. Stair rod rain here at the moment. Although there has been continuous thunder all afternoon, this is the first rain.
  12. Continuous thunder here for the last 50 minutes as the cell gradually slips away to the west. Still dry.
  13. First thunder a few minutes ago from the smaller cell SW of Sturminster Newton. Looks to be missing us atm.
  14. Up to 34.2°C earlier, my highest temp record, dropped to 31.2°C when cloud cover came over, now back up at 33.4°C as the sky has cleared again.
  15. Still 24.9°C a few minutes ago, according to the radar, it should be raining, it isn't.
  16. Foggy start here, cleared around half nine, currently 30.4°C with increasingly hazy blue sky.
  17. Sun disappeared around half ten this morning, grey and overcast since, only brief glimpses of bits of blue. Max temperature 27.6°C, but dropped to 24.1°C currently with big spots of rain.
  18. Max at 28.2°C her today. Cloud cover took most of the morning to clear and the temperature was only 20.1°C at noon. Skies very milky at times and some alto cumulus this pm.
  19. 31.6°C tops here, still just over 30°C atm. Variable cirrus and alto cumulus.
