  1. Stopped here just over an hour ago and the sun came out - so amazing with every branch covered in snow and a bit of mist. We had snow all the way through from 10.30am to 3pm- no sleet or rain.

Very happy as it has made everything look beautiful but the roads are relatively clear now although the side roads were a bit treacherous for a while. If it freezes overnight the school run will be tricky in the morning...

  3. I'm even more west of London and I'm not even sure I should be on this thread! However I'm included in the Met Office London and South East, so here I am.

The front looks like it should be reaching me fairly soon as there's a blob that's making its way down between Oxford and London at the moment.

    Will update if anything happens!

  4. Very good! Did you persuade them to pop the occasional post on NWeather?

    AS

Sadly not! I did mention Netweather to Phil Avery and he had heard of us though! It was very interesting hearing their backgrounds and how they got into it, and also what it's actually like having to do the forecasts. Always being squeezed into a minute or two and sometimes not knowing how long they will have until literally the last second. Very lovely people.

  5. This is my first post here so please be kind!

It has been said in the past that the data at the weekends is not as reliable as during the week. I'm really hoping this is not the case, but could this slight improvement for cold prospects be due to this? Whenever there is a wobble towards mild at the weekend in an otherwise cold scenario, there are lots of posts about things being different at the weekend...
